My visit here was a few months ago. I stopped in after 12 hours of driving on a cross country trip. The food that I ordered was really good which was the burger that I posted below. There was just one really interesting part of my dining experience that keeps coming up in conversation. I noticed that I was asked to pay upfront while I noticed the other patrons around me were not asked that same request. I obliged and paid and the server was polite during my meal. However to this day, it is still in my mind as to why I was asked to pay up front and no one else was.

I had the lunch burger basket. It was so delicious. The bun was toasted, the cheese was perfectly melted on the meat. I had to actually let my fries cool some because they were so hot and cooked perfectly.

Terrible steaks. Ordered medium well, got a plate full of blood. Were cooked medium or a little under. They have no steak sauce and steaks weren’t even seasoned. We each took one bite of steak. The lady running it was too busy talking to the obnoxiously loud customers cussing non stop at the bar, to even ask how it was. She saw that we didn’t eat most of it and didn’t even ask if anything was wrong The lady next to us had 2 kids and the loud, cussing, customers and the lady running it talking about all her different baby daddy’s, was probably not what she expected at a place called a “diner” . It should be called a bar. Very disappointed and do not recommend at all.

Horrible experience. Probably fine if you’re a local but if you’re passing through and have any standards for service and quality keep driving. Food took for ever and wasn’t worth the wait. They served me expired Lays chips. I only noticed because they were stale. The locals at the bar were cussing regularly. If that’s what you’re looking for then this is your place.

They had a fried green tomato caprese as a special today and it was PHENOMENAL. LOOK AT IT. It isn’t easy to find decent vegetarian food here in town and Ruby’s killed it with this one.

Stopped in traveling back to Oklahoma city Place is very friendly, food was good as well. Nice out of the way place to get a beer

Haven’t eaten yet but will review shortly, staff was friendly, environment was good. The hours are off slightly though. The kitchen closes at 9 not 10, got here 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they still made our order so that was pretty good.

Service and food is awful, told me the fryer was off at 9 o’clock. Steaks were all fat and when we asked for a new one the server just looked at me rudely and didn’t offer any sort of solution. When we asked for the steaks removed off of our check they complained, and made us pay 40 dollars for our sides. When we went to pay they told me it was cash only because the card reader was off and then proceeded to tell me to go to the ATM down the street to pay for their overpriced sides. Overall awful experience will not be going back.

Very small neighborhood bar located on old route 66 in a scenic small Oklahoma town. Didn’t try the food, but they do have a nice menu. The service was good and there is a billiards table on the second floor.
