Thank you, Guys! ❤️
I grew up going to Ruby Tuesday and was genuinely excited to see the Pueblo location, especially for the “famous” salad bar. I went in expecting exactly what Ruby Tuesday should be: predictable, fast-casual, mid-range food like Chilis/Applebees/TGI Fridays. Nothing fancy. Just decent.
What we got instead was disgusting.
The interior is shockingly filthy. Walls, baseboards, floors, carpet, windows, and booths were visibly caked in dust, food splatter, and what looked like years of neglect. Peeling wallpaper everywhere. Zero upkeep. I couldn’t focus on our meal because every surface around us looked dirty. Add in the blinding, bright white LED lights they chose for every fixture, and the whole place felt cold, clinical, and aggressively uninviting. Any chance of ambiance was murdered on sight. Lower lighting may have helped hide the filth.
The food? Truly laughable.
I stuck with the salad bar, which is now about half the size it used to be. I get it, COVID and the economy exist. Still not worth $13.99. I went up once and had no desire to return.
My husband ordered a burger and fries, and my son got mac & cheese. I honestly wish I’d taken a photo of the burger. It felt like we were being Punk’d. A sad, backyard grill burger on a Great Value bun, maybe eight fries total, and zero shame. My husband and I were laughing because it was genuinely the most pitiful plate of food we’d ever seen.
The mozzarella sticks were frozen, boxed garbage served at room temperature. My son’s mac & cheese was very obviously $1 Kraft mac, also room temperature, dry and sticky.
The salad bar was technically “fine,” but the toppings were straight from the can and sad. The garbanzo beans left a literal string of slime trailing behind the spoon. AH.
Service was odd and disconnected, but we got what we needed quickly, so whatever.
Then came the bill. With the 2-for-$27 deal (mozz sticks, burger meal, salad bar), a kids Mac ($6.99), water, soda, and a kids lemonade… somehow we landed at $50. A real comedy.
This place is clearly lacking any real management, which makes me wonder if Ruby Tuesday corporate even cares anymore. Maybe this is the last Ruby Tuesday standing west of the Mason-Dixon? I obviously have no idea. But that doesn’t excuse the literal filth, the rundown condition, or how sad and neglected this location is. Have some pride in what you do. Clean the place. Serve food that’s at least warm. Maybe then you’ll last a few more years.
It evades me completely how this place can have 4 stars on Google. Embarrassing. Disappointing. Never again. Don’t waste your money!
I especially want to shout out my server, Aleea, who made the visit even better. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional the entire time. She checked in often without being overbearing, made sure we had everything we needed, and handled everything with a great attitude. It’s rare to get service that genuinely stands out, but Aleea absolutely delivered.
If you’re stopping by Ruby Tuesday, I highly recommend asking for Aleea. She’ll take great care of you!
Thinking heavily on the monthly plan
PS, my review would decline if they ever got rid of the croutons. Lol
