The food was okay but there is just not the typical vibes here. I had the “3 Little Pigs Omelet” and nothing about it was visually appealing but it tasted good enough. The grits were cooked absolutely perfectly and the cane sugar was a very unique twist on the biscuit but other than that pretty mediocre meal. Nothing that would have myself running back. The pricing was surprisingly good though.

I’m, typically, a fan of the Ruby Slipper restaurants; however, today’s experience has changed that to a “NEVER AGAIN!”. We ordered coffee, cocktails, an appetizer, and entrees and were disappointed in it all! The restaurant was cluttered with old pitchers of tea, someone’s coat, AND dirty trays placed on top of the clean cups that they served the customers. I would not recommend anyone.

Took us like 30 minutes to even get menus, but that’s mostly because I think the bartender was our waiter and I could see he was busy so it wasn’t his fault… I really wanted to like the food, but both mine and my sister’s food tasted like it was sitting under a lamp for a little while so it was warm at best… Drinks were good though if that counts for something! If I’m in the area again I’d probably like to try to go back when they’re not as busy as I’m sure it would be a better experience.

The omelette was absolutely perfect—fluffy, light, and cooked just right. The fillings were fresh and flavorful, with just the right balance of cheese and vegetables. Every bite was satisfying without feeling heavy.
The pancakes were equally impressive—soft, airy, and beautifully golden on the outside. They had a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with syrup and butter. Light, yet indulgent!
Overall, a comforting and delicious breakfast that I would happily enjoy again. Highly recommended for anyone craving a classic breakfast done right!

It took 1 1/2 hours for us to get, pancakes, eggs, grits and fish, chicken finger sandwich…server did not even return to our table of 5 paying customers to refill beverages, ask if we needed any silverware…which we had to request after we received our 1 1/2 hr late food. People who came in at same time we did everyone of them had finished and left! Everyone else there was new arrivals..and not to mention the each server turned their head to avoid us asking for help as they ran quickly past our table…the servers were sweeping floors around our table and even sitting down in a chair sweeping the floor…poor customer service, they get a BIG FAT “D+”.. only because the food …was decent.

Decided to drop in for brunch before doing some shopping. Everyone was so nice but our service was slow. We didn’t receive all our food and refills were few and far between. Our food arrived and it was another 10 mins until we received silverware to eat it with. The food over all was okay. The beignets were a huge let down. They were just fried biscuits and there was no marmalade. The biscuits themselves were dry. The home style potatoes were under cooked. The other food was just good enough to eat.

Ruby Sunshine is my go to brunch place! The pancakes are unbelievably good – fluffy & flavorful. I loved that the syrup was served hot, which made them even better. Our server John S. was outstanding—so attentive, friendly, and genuinely funny. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

It was my first time dining at The Ruby Slipper and it was an amazing experience! Breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everything came out perfectly. Our server, John S., truly made the experience though — he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel so well taken care of. He had great energy and made breakfast even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have John again!
