Bradley, our server, was awesome! He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we sat down.

The Bloody Mary was delicious, and I loved the addition of the green beans—they paired perfectly with the drink and gave it a unique touch.

The hospitality from everyone really made this first visit a great experience for our family. You can tell the staff takes pride in making guests feel comfortable.

All the food we ordered was fantastic. The grits, in particular, stood out—I’ve never had grits cooked so perfectly. They were creamy, flavorful, and absolutely spot on.

Ruby Slipper Cafe is definitely a must-try when you’re in the French Quarter.

Absolutely fantastic brunch spot. We ordered the Sweet Heat Chicken with the French Toast Bites, and whoever decided to put those two together is a pure genius. The sweet and spicy combo was perfectly balancee, each bite complemented the other so well. Truly delicious.

We also had the One Tomato Two Tomato Benny, and it’s easily one of the best Eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had. The eggs were perfectly poached and the biscuits were made just right… fluffy, buttery, and sturdy enough to hold everything together without getting soggy.

To top it off, we tried the mimosa flights, and all four flavors were delicious. It’s hard to pick a favorite because they were all refreshing and well-made.

Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Food was very good! We had the sweet heat chicken and French toast! Definitely a pallet surprise. Savory with heat and sweet! Also had their three pig omelet. If you are a traditional breakfast person with fluffy eggs bacon ham and sausage then filled with delicious melted cheese this is absolutely for you! We were seated at the bar and had a great server, Maggie. She made us feel very welcome and definitely was a delight to talk with in conversation. Expect a little wait as if the food is great you should expect!

After a short wait on a Sunday morning, our group of five was seated quickly. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the Ruby Slipper has such a great vibe for brunch.

We started with their signature French Toast Bites—crispy, warm little squares of French toast served with a praline dipping sauce. Absolutely amazing!

For my main dish, I ordered the Costa Rican Breakfast: two eggs (I chose over easy), chorizo, plantain chips, beans & rice, and avocado. The flavors worked perfectly together—delicious and satisfying.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable brunch experience!

Visited on December 15l4th in the morning, around 7:30. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere and decor inside is very cool inside a historic building.

Bradley was our server, check #24, table 25.He was very attentive, friendly, and helpful with suggestions for breakfast. He was also quick with drinks and food.

I ordered the French Toast Bites and Chicken with a spicy honey glaze and strawberries. It was amazing, to say the least. The French Toast was insanely crispy and delicious. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection and also very crunchy. The hot honey and strawberry balanced the sweet French toast so well. This was one of the best meals I’ve had after a week on a cruise ship.

My girlfriend had the Eggs Cochon Benedict and she really loved it. The biscuit was excellent and the pork was tender and seasoned perfectly.

We ordered the pig-candy bacon and while it tasted pretty good, it was not a highlight of the experience. I think it could be thicker cut maybe.

Overall, this was an excellent experience in NOLA, and it was the best food I’ve had in 3 days in NOLA, and a week on a cruise ship.

Thank you Bradley for making it even better!

This is a great place to stop and try. We had a group of 7 so we tried quite a bit of the menus. The beignets were smaller and a bit overdone but still delicious. Particularly enjoyed the fried chicken and French toast. It is a bit loud inside but that’s just because it’s packed with people. Would definitely visit again.

I can’t begin to thank Lisa, the GM as well as our wonderful server, Will for such warm hospitality! We just got back from our carnival cruise and wanted a nice bite before we headed to the airport. My go-to spot was closed so we came to Ruby Slipper and enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere! The food was 100/10! This will be one of my stops every time I’m in New Orleans!
