The Bloody Mary was delicious, and I loved the addition of the green beans—they paired perfectly with the drink and gave it a unique touch.
The hospitality from everyone really made this first visit a great experience for our family. You can tell the staff takes pride in making guests feel comfortable.
All the food we ordered was fantastic. The grits, in particular, stood out—I’ve never had grits cooked so perfectly. They were creamy, flavorful, and absolutely spot on.
Ruby Slipper Cafe is definitely a must-try when you’re in the French Quarter.
We also had the One Tomato Two Tomato Benny, and it’s easily one of the best Eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had. The eggs were perfectly poached and the biscuits were made just right… fluffy, buttery, and sturdy enough to hold everything together without getting soggy.
To top it off, we tried the mimosa flights, and all four flavors were delicious. It’s hard to pick a favorite because they were all refreshing and well-made.
Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!
We started with their signature French Toast Bites—crispy, warm little squares of French toast served with a praline dipping sauce. Absolutely amazing!
For my main dish, I ordered the Costa Rican Breakfast: two eggs (I chose over easy), chorizo, plantain chips, beans & rice, and avocado. The flavors worked perfectly together—delicious and satisfying.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable brunch experience!
Bradley was our server, check #24, table 25.He was very attentive, friendly, and helpful with suggestions for breakfast. He was also quick with drinks and food.
I ordered the French Toast Bites and Chicken with a spicy honey glaze and strawberries. It was amazing, to say the least. The French Toast was insanely crispy and delicious. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection and also very crunchy. The hot honey and strawberry balanced the sweet French toast so well. This was one of the best meals I’ve had after a week on a cruise ship.
My girlfriend had the Eggs Cochon Benedict and she really loved it. The biscuit was excellent and the pork was tender and seasoned perfectly.
We ordered the pig-candy bacon and while it tasted pretty good, it was not a highlight of the experience. I think it could be thicker cut maybe.
Overall, this was an excellent experience in NOLA, and it was the best food I’ve had in 3 days in NOLA, and a week on a cruise ship.
Thank you Bradley for making it even better!
