Ruby River Steakhouse® | a Salt Lake Steakhouse Restaurants in
Reviews
Of course, the main event is the food, and it is simply unbelievable. While the menu has many incredible options, the Porterhouse is a true showstopper. Yes, it commands a premium price, but it is an investment in culinary perfection that is worth every single penny. What truly sets Ruby River apart is the phenomenal skill of their chefs. When you ask for medium rare, you don’t receive something in the ballpark—you are served the textbook definition of medium rare, with a flawless sear giving way to a warm, brilliantly red center. It’s a clear testament to a kitchen staff that are true masters of their craft.
Tying the entire experience together is the service, which remains, as usual, absolutely spectacular. The staff moves with a polished efficiency and genuine warmth that makes you feel both welcomed and well-cared-for from the moment you arrive. They are attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about every aspect of the meal. It is this powerful combination of a wonderful atmosphere, flawlessly executed food, and impeccable service that makes Ruby River a consistent and undeniable standout in the Salt Lake dining scene.
We ordered ribs and chix combo and 16oz ribeye. Ribs ok, chix was past well done.
Ordered steak MR, came MW-W, ok, sent it back. Server was nice, new steak comes out and it’s raw, not rare, raw with a little outside color. Showed the server, another? She asked, nope, the cook is 0 for 2, I’m good. When done with our food she offers a free desert and she took the steak off the bill.
The apple crisp was seriously inedible, we didn’t say a word. Oh my, that was bad.
Salad was nice size. Bacon bites were great and not fatty. The blue cheese dressing was on the runny side and without a good blue cheese flavor. This was disappointing. The pork ribs are a nice size. The meat was very, very dry. The BBQ sauce is very sweet. I was not able to eat them due to the meat’s dryness.
There is no table bread that is served. There is a slight Southwest feel to some parts of the menu. They also have teriyaki flavoring.
Always a risk to not have steak at a steak house. I would go back to try the steak. Sweet Potato fries are amazing. They come with a side of fry sauce. Would get those again.
Price of lunch was expected based on brand but to much based on quality of the food served.
Staff was very nice.
The service was great. The steaks were delicious. Definitely recommend the fried pickle spears also.
Also, thanks to the honest employee that put up my puffy jacket. I came back this morning hoping it would be there and it was!!!
There was another server (Female) who was helpful as well but cannot recall her name. All in all a great experience.
I will say the Buffalo wings impressed me. Larger than I expected, and certainly spicier (in a good way) will have to check if they do take out as I’d love to get some more of the Buffalo wings next time I’m in SLC.
