Very easy to find
Its in a shopping plaza next to other restaurants and shops.
I came in there was just one other table that was there.
Place is very clean, very nicely decorated.
Staff is super nice, each and everyone greeted me, I came in to try this place out by myself. Even though I am not Peruvian, Peruvian food is my favorite food out of all. Nothing compares to their impeccable gastronomy. I have been searching, and always trying out new Peruvian restaurants any different state or location where I am around.
Anywho, i was greeted right away, they are jamming out to Salsa music which was a great sign right away. The nice waitress sat me down, and right away asked me what I would like to drink and gave me the menu.
I was undecided between the Jalea and the chicharron de pescado, well I went with the chicharron de pescado. Now mind you, the price looks pretty up there for one plate, but keep in mind:
Its made to order
HUGE portions
Preparation time
It’s latino soul food made with a lot of passion.
I ordered:
Chicharron de pescado, it came with Salsa criolla (pickled red onions) yuca slices, plantains, cancha, limes tartar sauce.
I also ordered arroz verde (cilantro/spinach rice) depends on the region of Peru they are from. However, it is my favorite rice of all! Sooo sooo good and bursting with flavor.
Also ordered a side of huancaina sauce (just order it) you will thank me later.
They brought it out with red and green aji (salsa) however I rather have Peruvian aji vs any other spicy sauce.
Took about 15 minutes to get my order, and when it arrived the portions were HUGE. Presentation was 10000%, my order was done correctly nothing was overcooked it was made perfect.
I got full really quick but moreso I was taken back by the amount of food, and the presentation. Every bite was as good as the first one! With tip I paid for $42 dollars and took 90% of my food to go.
I took it to my family and the three of them liked it a lot that I plan on going back with them.
Rubis is NOW my favorite Peruvian restaurant! Wow, great job Rubi staff and continue to cook with soul!
They do have daily lunch specials make sure you follow them on social media for updates. Just a heads up they do not sell pollo a la brasa but trust me, you have sooo many other choices off their menu. Just writing this review its making me hungry again, I want to go back!
This is now my favorite Peruvian restaurant in the state of Utah! Reminded me of the food I ate while I traveled to Peru. If you are reading this review, thank you for making it this far.
Oh they also have a vegetarian menu! They have something for even the pickiest eater. Also coke products and fresh natural juices. They also have dessert
Do yourself a favor and go check it out! You will be happy you did!
I ordered the Filete de Pescado and it came with yucca, rice and salsa criolla on the side. It was a tad dry of a dish overall but after asking for some hot sauce it balanced out perfectly. I loved the fish it was cooked exquisitely!
Definitely check them out!
Leche de Tigre was phenomenal, and the fried fish was extremely soft and delicate and delicious.
