For many years, rubios has been my go to lunch place, but they are slipping.

I work close by and usually come here for lunch, the food always tastes fresh and most of the employees are nice. Today, the service I received by the guy with a beard seemed a little cold but the lady working up front was nice. Normally I will order a bowl but today I ordered fish tacos, one of them with avocado slices. Well…I got my avocado but I was NOT expecting this!! If you have to slice them thin then why not put a couple more?? So disappointing

We went to Rubios for good ole Taco Tuesday but the food took forever! And then was cold. $50+ bucks on cold food. Not so good when it’s cold. Staff was nice but the food was a Big No! If I had never eaten Rubios that would have been my last.(Shrimp tasted disgusting). 5/6 staff in the kitchen. Not sure What took so long. I would not recommend this location.

Came in for a togo order at 6pm waited for 15 minutes to get my 3 items. Only to find out they left out the side of guac and had to drive back to get it. Then no one besides the cashier who was just focused on new orders. No apologies except for a casual ” sorry about that”.

Well that was dissappointing. Placed an online order and website says pick up after 35min. (They don’t take phone orders) Had to wait another 18 min after that before the order came out. For a fast food take-out, that’s very slow. (Total 53 min) Had I known that, we would have just gone elsewhere. Next time we will. 5 people standing around behind the counter? – send 3 more back to the kitchen to prep! Why bait and fail? Fix your systems and organizational structure, don’t over promise and under deliver.

The food was good and what I have come to expect from a Rubio’s chain. I had the Baja Trio and the seasonal Grilled Swordfish with Peruvian Aji salsa. The shrimp with the mango was over salted, but when combined with the taco it was hardly noticeable. The mango taco of the trio plate let off a bit of liquid causing the taco shells of the three to become soggy. The swordfish tacos were good, although the fish was overcooked in one of the two tacos giving it a dried chicken texture. The service was quick, the staff at the register was friendly and the location was clean. Overall, I would recommend this location, just wasn’t a fan of the items ordered this time around.

It is nice of Rubio’s to offer PADRES freebies! This fast casual eatery has gotten expensive. It’s quality offerings are fresh and tasty.

For a long time this has been my go to place however we put in a large order (via app) to celebrate a special day. When we picked up the food and got home we realized the order was almost completely wrong. We tried calling to see what could be done but no one was picking up the phone. We just ended up getting food somewhere else, and will probably do this more in the future.

Decent place, old limes, drink selection sucks. Not a bad option. Lobster quesidillas good, guac and chips average.
