We wanted a quick dinner on our way home and decided to stop in for their Original Fish Tacos. It’s still affordable and we love their refried beans and chips also.
The two older ladies working at the front taking our orders were really friendly and nice. The place was empty of customers on a Sunday night so we had the place to ourselves. It was really clean too.

The staff here were extremely kind! When we arrived a gentleman that worked there held the door for us, and everyone working there was friendly and happy to help. Even though my friend and I brought our small children, nobody acted annoyed that they were a little noisy and they brought our food to our table for us, and were very nice to our kids! 11/10 experience

I have been on a Rubio’s binge for a little bit. Probably been there once a week for the last couple months. I always order the same thing. The kids meal fish, taco beans and chips. Nine times out of 10 I am extremely happy. Sometimes the size of the fish could be Less crust more fish.
Yesterday when I received my meal and opened up the fish taco, it was just large chunks of cabbage, no sauce and a big crunchy piece of crust. The beans were stiff and tasteless. I did go up and ask for sauce and she gave it to me, but it did not help . I did show her my taco and I don’t think she understood why I was asking for sauce, which I thought was odd. Just my review

UPDATE BABY!! AUGUST 2023: ITS STILL AN ABSOLUTE 10/10! JUST AS CLEAN JUST AS FRIENDLY! (4-year-old review OG–>)Loved it ! The food is great tasting and so neatly prepared to go! I had the beer battered fish burrito, its 890 calories and cost me 8.93. The size isnt huge but its satisfying for me. Prices are fair for the quality I believe. The cashier was very kind and friendly. BUT WHAT I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH is their cleanliness! My goodness the cleanest “fast foodish” spot I’ve ever visited! Bathrooms were so clean, they’re salsa station very clean today station organized and neat! The salsas are very delicious too and they taste fresh , a mild heat very enjoyable

Terrible service. Wait times are ridiculously long and there is no sense of urgency in getting people their food about quick. Always waiting 30+ minutes. If you’re going here for lunch, ORDER ONLINE AT LEAST ONE HOUR AHEAD OR YOU WILL SPEND YOUR ENTIRE LUNCH WAITING FOR THEM. On top of all this, they proceed to give you your food, filled with burnt protein. Going through the reviews, it seems like the chefs have a VERY COMMON THEME OF BURNING YOUR FOOD AND STILL SERVING IT TO YOU yet nothing has been done by this company to take action

I have always loved their chicken nachos. I live out-of-state now & couldn’t wait to go to Rubio’s when I came to San Diego for a visit. I was so thrilled that they survived the the lock-down. I will definitely visit again.

You need a Rubios on the Westside of LA, Santa Monica. Was very sad when you closed the Marina location. Had been going there since 1998.

Placed an order and explained I eat a vegan diet with seafood (no meat, dairy or eggs). Lady was kind at first and helped me. I placed an order for a burrito on Nov 14, 2025. The cook just had cheese and meats on her gloves I asked the cashier if the cook could changed before fixing my burrito. She yelled out why do I need to change my gloves. She complied, after she touched all over my tortilla. I requested a new tortilla and said it can mess up my stomach. The cashier said then don’t eat here. This was a rude response to a customer and not to mention I had already paid. I guess changing gloves between customers plate/meal fixings are not a part of ther policy. Please retrain your staff. I have been to many places that handle cheese and they take precautions by cleaning and wiping the station to minimize cross contamination. Now I know not to bring my family here to be talked to like my money doesn’t matter.
