At Rubio’s Coastal Grill, it’s our mission to serve Baja-inspired, Mexican flavors you know and love, with a lighter, fresher, California coastal twist. Inspired by our Baja beginnings, the menu features our award-winning Original Fish Tacos, plus chef-crafted tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads, all made to order with fresh, quality ingredients and your choice of protein – a variety of responsibly sourced seafood, all-natural chicken, or USDA Choice steak. Our kitchens prepare handmade guacamole and no-fried pinto beans from scratch daily, along with a variety of fresh, signature salsas and sauces. I’ve always loved Rubio’s and was sad when the other Mesa location closer to me closed a couple of years ago. This location is great the rewards program gave me five dollars off and made my steak and shrimp bowl 10 bucks. The food was fresh tasting and delicious and the service was friendly. I would recommend if you want a somewhat healthy option that is better than Chipotle.

Michelin 3 stars all the way I would give a 4 star Michelin but that would require traveling from galaxy to galaxy. Hot fresh out of the box tastes plus superior customer service. Must go great price 2 can still eat here for $20 or less.

Feeling ripped Off… I ordered a steak burrito with rice and guac, however, what I got was mostly a “RICE” Burrito with flavorless dried steak and almost non-existent guacamole! I even asked the cashier how old their steak was prior to ordering and I was “assured” it was fresh! Spent about $18 with a drink! I could have gotten a REAL MEAL elsewhere for that price! Save your money skip this place for sure! No I do not recommend…

Look, Rubio’s is notoriously understaffed. Never go there at the primetime 530 or 6. Even if you order online, the food will not be ready. And the people that work there are just rude. And they are jerks, horrible service. I’m Rubio’s needs to rethink their hiring practices. Because this is the second location where the staff was completely understaffed and rude.

I made the mistake of ordering from this location again. In the past, pickup orders here have taken about 20 minutes past the promised time, so I had been using another location. Today I placed an online order at 6:25 PM. The system estimated 6:34 PM, but I adjusted pickup to 6:45 PM to allow extra time.
When I arrived, the cashier said she didn’t see my order. A manager stepped in and told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. The restaurant was full, and most customers were waiting while staff told people to expect 25–30 minute delays.
I didn’t receive my food until 7:18 PM — 53 minutes after ordering and 33 minutes after being told 15 minutes.
This location has had issues for years. When I worked nearby, it was always slow, employees seemed unhappy, and food quality was inconsistent.
I won’t be returning to this location and am reconsidering Rubio’s altogether. Management needs to address both customer service and kitchen operations.

I ordered twice from Rubio’s. Both times order was delayed. The second time today I did not get all the items on the menu I ordered. Frustrated for such a fresh ingredient delight by their quality of food and ingredients. The service didn’t meet my expectations.I don’t plan on ordering again.

Still very good food even if it is painfully over priced. Dont bother asking for aomething to be left out of your order. They just do what they have been shown to do.

Visited Mesa Arizona for a youth conference and need a place to eat for 1 hr dinner break. Had the lobster tacos and tortilla soup….yummy so satisfying and tasteful. Great service, great food amd decent prices.
