The chicken sandwich wasn’t good at all, tasted and looked like school foods. Lack of taste, soggy, and terribly breaded- as if it was frozen? The bread itself was also stale, again reminiscent of school food. The staff was nice however, so they have that going. The atmosphere is also very in need of an update, but that’s not very important.

As a life long Danville native, I’ve been eating here for as long as I can remember. They delicious every time. My favorites are the hotdogs with homemade chili and slaw and the hot hamburger plate. They are to die for!

I called in a take out order, and it was waiting at the counter 10 minutes later. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese on toast with tomato and mayo that was hot and delicious. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Rubens Too for home cooked breakfast and lunch.
