The food here is truly authentically Mexican and delicious. I grew up in Tijuana and San Diego so I’m pretty picky about good Mexican food – this place reminds me of good pueblo cooking. The cashier is very friendly and attentive, and they offer taquizas to domicilio! Also, their horchata tastes legit – not powdery and very fresh. So glad we stopped here! Also, there is a hella good paleta place next door – dinner and dessert!

My friend suggested we eat here. Extremely modest place that you might easily pass on, but very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the the carne asada tacos and my friend ordered the quesobirria. Now, if you haven’t had a quesobirria… let me tell you about it. It’s cooked beef folded into a tortilla with melted cheese and served with a side of au jus for dipping. It’s like a braised beef taco married a quesadilla. Absolutely delicious! Don’t let the exterior of the restaurant fool you. There’s some seriously good food going on here. Provecho!

AMAZING birria taco! I was feeling adventurous so I tried a beef tongue taco, which I did not enjoy it but it was interesting to try. Did not enjoy the torta at all because the lettuce was mushy iceberg and it made the bread soggy. I sampled the hibiscus tea and it was WAY too sweet, but maybe that is how it is prepared in Mexico? I plan to return to try a different birria dish, the taco I had was 10/10.

The sign out front says best tacos in town… THAT IS ACCURATE! Very good tacos and burritos! The seasoning and use of onion is spot on! Very balanced thoughtful bites. The salsa is better than it looks. Well done! I’ll be back!

Tasty Mexican food. Big fan of the gringos, I had cabesa pastor. Nice zesty avocado sauce, good balance of spice and nice. My kid had a quesadilla with asada, it was alright but not amazing. Horchata was creamy and nicely spiced. My kiddo rates it 4.3 out of 5. Overall, as long as you don’t mind eating in a fly infested lobby on paper plates, surrounded by used restraunt equipment, this is a solid choice for you. I am a food first kinda guy, so I would do it again.
