This was my first time at Ru Sans. My wife has been before and she invited me for lunch. It is important to eat local when you can and support independent franchisees.
We my wife promised me that I would love my lunch and she was right, I did!
I had a lunch plate called “The Buffett ” and it was fully packed. The food was great and the sushi was good. It also can with miso soup. Tori ,our server was very good and gave attentive service and follow up. We will be back !!!

Daniela was fantastic. Great recommendations! Salmon roe was fantastic! Actually, all their sushi was really good! Sweet potato was great! Fried dumplings were delicious! Fried tempura ice cream was really a treat!

First timer…and if I could I WOULD GIVE 10 STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This food was AMAZING!!! When the food came out, it looked like pictures in a magazine. The best part it taste as good as it looked. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, explaining any questions about the food(this was our first time lol). The food, the staff, and the atmosphere was so great. We went back the next day The owner was actually cooking and you could tell this man put his heart and soul into cooking. Hats off to you sir. HANDS DOWNS BEST FOOD IN ROME!

We were there on 9/30/2022 and the man running the dining room did an amazing job. It looked like he was the only person seving and delivering food in the entire restaurant and we still got our food in a decent amount of time. Best service I’ve received in a Ru San’s ever. The rest of this review is from an older visit. Good food and good service. The chef went out of his way to make a custom order for me that wasn’t on the menu.

We were in Rome for a college visit and we were looking for some place to have an early dinner and my wife found this place.
$9 for a pitcher of Kirin draft is a very good deal. As a matter of fact, lots of things on the menu are very reasonably priced.
So we ordered lots of appetizers like some nigiri, tempura, kushi yaki (grilled things on stick), gyoza, etc.
Over all, everything was pretty decent but some of the seafood like sea bass, squid, yellowtail and tuna used in tempura and kushi yaki seemed to be previously frozen.
And tempura batter was rather heavy – I like tempura batter to be light and fluffy.
The staff seemed little tense. I’m not saying that they were rude but not really all that friendly. They had a sign that said they were short staffed, so maybe they were tired from the lunch session…

The food here was reasonably priced and tasty! It came out hot and fresh. The atmosphere was a bit strange with more older music and at one point a rendition of the star spangled banner playing (not that I’m opposed to it, just strange). They seemed a little short staffed but they still attended our table quickly and were polite.
