Do these look like boneless buffalo wings to you? Yeah, me either. They were absolutely disgusting, extremely dry, rubbery, and tasted old. The meat didn’t even look like chicken! The sight alone made my stomach turn. Never again. Also, the customer service was terrible!

Classic small town pizzeria. We enjoy eating. It’s also a great spot for families or travelers passing through Benson who want a quick but satisfying bite. Prices are reasonable, portions are large, and the atmosphere is relaxed — just what you’d expect from a genuine hometown pizza place.

Ordered 2 pizzas and wings for take out. The pizzas both looked like a cheap frozen pizza that had been left in the oven too long. Way overcooked and looked like someone forgot the sauce and cheese. They were so bad I even took pictures out of disbelief that the owner had handed me the pizzas. Then I opened the wings. If it is possible to make on the bone chicken wing jerky, R&R has nailed it. Pretty sure there wasn’t a drop of moisture left in the meat.

We loved R&R Pizza! I wish I got more pictures, but we just got right into the Saturday lunch buffet. We all thought the pizza was really good, and loved the look in the restaurant with the train decor, and cozy atmosphere. The spaghetti noodles weren’t quite how I like them (a bit dry so I used extra sauce), but everything else made up for it. We’ll definitely be back, and will for sure order to go also ️

Honestly I gave it a 3 star because of the salad bar. The pizza is generic, the wings on the buffet are chicken breast strips in sauce and not really even a good sauce. The pasta and spaghetti sauce is bland. The meatballs in the sauce are from a bag and taste like it. It is noon and the clientele is 50 plus in age, and that is the reason they don’t mind that the food is bland and generic. Honestly the only reason for the 3 star is the salad bar. But on that the tomatoes looked refrigerated and old. I am not from the area so I don’t know if this a chain pizza place or not but has the feel of a franchise…. cookie cutter generic

Amazing atmosphere, spectacular food, the pizza was fresh, the spices well balanced, all around probably the best pizza place I’ve ever been to!

Best pizza in Benson. Tried the rest and this one was hands down better. Lots of topping and hot. Will be back to dine in.
We stopped in for lunch again but we ate there. The pizza was just as good as the last time and on Monday if you order an extra large pizza you get bread sticks free, but you have to ask. The are incredible. Not busy around 1. We’ll be back before we leave town.

We were driving through this town and had our lunch break here. The buffet was excellent. Enjoyed the atmosphere, and the stomach was satisfied with the food:)

Their pizza is delicious but unfortunately I have gotten raw breadsticks from them twice. I brought this up to one of the employees and they tried telling me that the uncooked and squishy dough was actually cheese.
Editing after the owners response:
I have never ordered food at an establishment that purposly undercooks food so that it is doughy. Eating undercooked dough puts you at risk for food poisoning. And I have never thought to request that my food be cooked completely as that is industry standard. Your pizza is delicious like I previously stated, but the breadsticks could use some improvement.

My wife and I are wintering in Benson to escape the Chicago winter. Being a Chicagoan, I think I’ve got a pretty good sense of what good and bad pizza is. After almost two months here, I had a craving for some pizza and decided to give R&R a shot.
First, I loved the ambiance as soon as I walked in. Video jukebox playing Tears for Fears and a video arcade. I suddenly felt like I was back 1984 when this was what most pizza joints in Chicago were like. The server working the counter was incredibly pleasant. I placed my order and was floored when it came out hot and ready in only 15 minutes.
But the real deal here was the pizza. This ranks easily in my top two or three favorite pizzas. The sauce was fantastic–slightly sweet, slightly salty–the toppings were fresh and plentiful and the crust was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I usually feed the crust to my pups, but not this time. I ate it all. The server then surprise us with a complimentary order of bread sticks so we could try them. Light, fluffy, like croissant dough, and just the right amount of salt and garlic. I’m a fan of those now too.
If you’re visiting Benson and want some great pizza, go to R&R. You won’t be disappointed. If you are, tell them what’s wrong and they’ll fix it for you.
