When you take shortcuts, you get lost. There’s nothin’ fast about our food; in fact, it’s downright slow. Don’t let that fool you-we know quick service. As we like to say slowly smoked, quickly devoured. Our Pit Masters have spent years crafting the perfect technique to barbeque. We are not only champions in serving up delicious smoked meats and sides, we are champions at delivering a homestyle customer experience that will have you coming back for more.
BBQ meats take center stage at this funky counter-serve, which also makes burgers, sides & beers.

We ordered the Brisket Tacos and they were delicious. We got them quick after I reminded them after 20 minutes of waiting that they had forgot our order. In their defense it was dead quite and the super bowl was on. They did give us a $10 gift card.

I’m a Texas gal and grew up with my dad making BBQ all the time. I’ve even helped at some BBQ cook offs. I moved to Boise almost 2 years and hadn’t found any good BBQ anywhere UNTIL TODAY. I’m absolutely elated. The sliced brisket was Devine with beautiful bark and smoke ring. Potato salad was more Texas style with more mustard in it. Ribs were pretty good. Spicy BBQ sauce needs to also now be a staple in my fridge. So good.

The downtown location in Boise is our favorite! The meat is moist and sides are fresh any time of day. First hour of parking is free in the parking garage, airy space and great views looking down over 8th street.

Got the 3 meat combo with 2 sides to try a variety of offerings. Everything was very good. My favorite was the spicy sausage but the brisket and pulled pork was amazing. Prices are acceptable and portion sizes are good especially the sides that were bigger offerings than I was expecting. I would return again when in the area.

My daughter suggested that we try R&R BBQ while we were downtown. We were the only guests in the restaurant, which was great for choosing a seat so we can eat and people watch. My husband ordered the half rack of ribs, which he said was good and tender. I ordered 12 naked smoked chicken wings, which were everything my taste buds were craving. Our daughter ordered a pound of brisket to have enough for leftovers. The brisket tasted good, but was a little dry. They had four different styles of BBQ sauce on each table. They have a wire rack filled with to go containers so you can grab your own. My favorite part was the hand washing sink, soap, and plenty of paper towels, that was just outside of the bathroom. The bathroom and restaurant were very clean. Staff was friendly. Food was tasty. I would go back and order the wing’s in a heartbeat!

We ordered a 3 meat plate with Mac and cheese and some hush puppies on the side. Ordered through door dash so can’t speak to service or anything at the restaurant. Food was meh. Sliced brisket was more like pot roast then brisket, the fat wasn’t rendered properly, and it was more like pulled apart pot roast, looked nothing like brisket. Pulled pork was ok, someone added to much salt on an already salty meat though. The ribs…oh the ribs. Worst. Ribs. EVER!!! First there was 95% bone, 5% meat. The meat that was on them was so hard to get off the bone we gave up after 20 mins of trying. They also didn’t remove the sliver skin so that was a massive negative. No sauce on the ribs, had to order on the side (we didn’t know but just happened to order 2 sides of BBQ sauce luckily). The mac and was something out of a can, super watery and if it was fresh made they need to fire that cook. Only good thing was the hush puppies. Will NEVER go here again, pls save your money, even Texas Roadhouse is 10x better.

This was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve paid for. The sliced brisket was extremely dry and tough — my mouth was so dry chewing it that I had to wash it down with water. Completely unacceptable.
The “cream” corn had no cream whatsoever. It was just plain corn, so please don’t call it cream corn. The mashed potatoes were dry, bland, and had barely any gravy — maybe a tiny drizzle when it should’ve been covered.
The coleslaw was also poorly prepared and had a large, hard piece of lettuce in it. Coleslaw should be shredded, not chunks of hard lettuce.
For an expensive one-plate meal, I received only three hush puppies, which is ridiculous. The only decent thing on the entire plate was the roll.
Overall, this meal was a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the price.

The hardest part was finding my way to the upper floor where this location is located. After that, friendly service and the ribs, smoked wings, and baked beans were really tasty. The ribs were tender and not covered in sauce, just the rub as I like it. I did try a little of the Carolina and spicy sauce and liked them both.

We tried the pork tacos alot of pork and slaw which were very delicious, we also had the pineapple pulled pork sandwich which was topped with a good serving of cole slaw, this sandwich had a lot of pork which was very moist and tasty. I upgraded my side to the fried pickles which were very well done and had great taste. This was a lot of food done right and great buy for the money. The staff was very nice, the restaurant was super clean. This is a Great place to stop at when in Downtown Boise Idaho.
