I ordered the New York Shell cooked medium. The seared crust was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and was bursting with flavor due to being dry-aged, as are all their steaks. Even the onion rings it came with were perfectly crispy.
The appetizers that I ordered were excellent as well: the fried calamari was light and crispy and the beet salad w/ goat cheese was fresh and earthy. The sides, broccoli rabe and creamed spinach were great.
The environment was pleasant and festive (during Christmas time) in the early evening, but it got busy and loud as the place filled up. Service was polite and prompt.
My wife got the twin filets medallions with mushroom gravy with grilled shrimp, I tasted it and it was very good as well. The raspberry mule she ordered was tasty.
I highly recommend this restaurant, definitely consider giving it a try. Next time, I’m coming for the prime rib!
When tipping the valets (you must park via valet), ask for their Venmo, it’s easier.
Get the blood orange margarita!
The salad that comes with the steak has a delicious lemon dressing.
The oysters were incredibly fresh and, in our opinion, the highlight of the meal. The ribeye was decent, though we prefer it with a touch more sea salt for added flavor. My surf and turf dish was fine, though the South African lobster tail was a bit sweeter than I typically enjoy.
While the prices were on the higher side, we knew what to expect going in. Overall, I’d definitely prefer this location over the one in Mahwah!
I ordered the porterhouse steak for 2 @ $140usd. It was smothered in salt and seasonings so much so that it was not even palatable. I drank three glasses of water trying not to die from a severe case of hypernatremia. The waiter never even came back and asked us how our food was. Or offer any steak sauce. So we just decided to start eating it after 10 minutes. For $140 you don’t even get a vegetable or a side with this meal. On top of that, the steak was sliced, when served. So there was no juice left in it. When the salad came out, I was very disappointed. It looked like iceberg lettuce the cheapest stuff they could get. Again, the same thing for the salad dressing it was the cheapest stuff they could get off the Cisco truck. And the $12 broccoli was no different. For the price you should be getting organic good food. The broccoli wasn’t even rinsed you could still taste the chemicals in it. With all this said, I could cook the same meal at home and 10 times better for a fraction of the price. I would say, Gordon Ramsay definitely needs to give that place a visit lol. Little mom and Pop bars on upstate New York in the middle of nowhere serve better food than this. Sure made me miss dining out in California. Where you get a proper meal at most places like that.
