Had a blast.
The auviance gives this place high marks without the food.
The staff:
Every single person we encountered was polite, friendly, helpful and seemed to love what they were doing.
There is plenty of room to relax and chat with your tablemates without interruption.
Plates picked up quickly after completing your meal was impressive.
Need something more? No problem, they were there to help.
The Cajun Chicken sandwich was juicy, tasty and just the right size.
Ket lime pie was not too tart, which I prefer.
What a jewel. What a place. What a memory.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

I doubt that one could find a more elegant restaurant setting. Massive columns surround a fountain located in the center. Dining is spacious, both around the fountain and in an area slightly above the courtyard. One orders food in a very efficient manner. There is a wide selection of lunch offerings. And, the food is well prepared and delicious. Staff is friendly, and brings the food to your table. I found it to be an excellent dining experience.

Really surprised at how good it was!
Cafeteria style ordering before sitting down so my expectations were low, but the service was swift, so profesional and friendly, and the food was delightfully good!
We had the summer tomato sandwich and and strawberry and arugula salad and they both exceeded our expectations. I loved the vinaigrette on the salad and the soft ciabatta bread on the sandwich.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a special lunch date spot!!

The food is usually good, but most of the time there will be a long line to order and pay. It’s in a courtyard of the museum, so there are a lot of echoes when you sit at the middle tables during busy times. Lunch was served until 2, and dinner did not start until later on. During the time in between, usually they only sell light meals.

I used to look forward to Roselle Court’s cakes when visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum pre-COVID, but this visit under the new management by American Dining Creations was deeply disappointing. The tart’s crust was still frozen and so hard that I had to put my full weight on the fork to break off a piece. The cake itself was bland and low quality—more like Sodexo than a restaurant. Their original chocolate cake was just a tiny sliver that tasted like a plain Safeway cupcake without frosting. At $8.50 per plate, the quality was unacceptable—a shame considering how beautiful this court area is and how delightful the experience once was with good food.

Other notes: the water dispenser, which used to have lemons or limes, now has neither. The coffee came in a small ceramic cup and tasted like weak instant coffee—not what you expect for $3.50. The cashier was also very slow and unapologetic about the long wait.

The professionalism and care that once defined this place were completely absent. Combined with the fact that the cakes and coffee made me feel unwell afterward, I can’t imagine returning.

Superb restsurant in the Nelson Atkins Museum. Welcoming and relaxed space within Museum. Menu is not too fancy, but it has some excellent salads, sandwiches, soups. The servers are attentive and helpful. Good place to grab a coffee or soda to catch your breath and share thoughts with friends. The Rozzelle Court is wonderful!

The atmosphere was beautiful! The food was delicious – we got the turkey wrap, fried chicken BLT, and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was our favorite for sure. The key lime pie was also delicious!

I like the cafeteria style set up they started during covid. I picked what I wanted, paid, and sat down. I ordered a whole chicken salad sandwich, a cup of macaroni, a slice of key lime pie, and a bottle of coke. The food was a little overpriced imo, but it was fairly good. I paid about $28 for the meal. I liked the sandwich a lot, but the tart taste of the pie was overpowering and the style of the scorched cheese topping on the macaroni was definitely not for me. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful. I don’t know if I would come back here as a college student, but it was a convenient stop for me during tours.

Last time I visited here was January of 2020 way before pandemic.
It was so nice to come back and see and enjoy the lunch.
Chicken salad sandwich was ok. Little to bland for me and the croissant wasn’t roasted.
Salad was delicious though.

Beautiful spot to take a break from wandering the galleries or meet friends for lunch. Daily chef specials are available and the menu offers a combination of classic comfort with a sophisticated twist. Lunch combos are also offered. Don’t let the counter ordering fool you, once you make your selections, full table service is provided. Service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Oh yes, beer, wine, and mimosas are available.
