New to town and had done Google search that told me of an amazing restaurant. I arrived to see the restaurant had been lost in the hurricane and now a large food truck. Food was delicious . Staff was very friendly and the sunset was gorgeous

Roy’s food was really good and probably worth the extraordinary wait time. We had a party of 8 and waited an hour and 20 minutes to be sat and when we were sat there we’re at least 10 tables sitting with room for 8 or more. Must be short staffed. I’d rather have been sitting during the wait instead of standing that long. Just explain why the wait is so long, we’d understand.

The margarita from the bar was refreshing and our bartender Jennifer was a hard working delightful person. Our server was great and shout out the young man Connor who was working his tail off all night trying to keep things clean.

The salad bar had a great variety but was hit hard by diners so could have used a little more attention, but again we saw everyone working hard all night.

Our Boda Bang shrimp were tasty. The alligator tail was probably some of the best we’d had. The onion rings were HUGE!

My fried scallops were delightful. The fried shrimp was decent – I’ve had worse and better. The potato salad on the salad bar didn’t look great but was surprisingly really good.

Prices were decent too.

Came here to meet some family. The staff was friendly and the food was solid. Surprised at one of their policies, at least in this example. The place had two tables occupied. Even still, they would not seat us while we waited for our family to arrive, roughly 10m later.

The staff was very friendly about it, but as we stood there waiting, they missed out on sales as we were going to order an app and a couple drinks.

Outside of this, the place was a solid visit and we will be back again. Our family decided to order a bunch of stuff and share it, and everyone enjoyed the whole experience. Not a bad thing landed on our table.

Good food. Properly cooked. Many places overcook seafood. Not here on our visit. Atmosphere beachy like a fishing village from the 90’s. Great calamari. Pretty quick seating for group of 17 on a Friday night during scallop season. Server was great. Took care of everything perfectly. Maybe 15 minute wait. Nice sunset views. Will definitely return. They also have a little souvenir store off of the lobby and small bar area.

This restaurant is located on the water, so it is very pretty. However, expect a 45-min-2-hour wait for your table at dinner time. Expect them to stop taking names for tables at around 8 pm because of short staff. The salad bar is the best thing at the restaurant. By the time you are through the 2-hour wait, you will gorge yourself on the salad bar and probably won’t be hungry for dinner (what happened to me). We ordered blackened grouper (fresh that day) – it was cooked and seasoned well. My husband had a combination dinner (upcharge because he chose shrimp 2 ways). Some of the blackened shrimp were dry. Fried chicken was great though. The kid’s meal – fish sticks – great quality. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a nice experience overall.

Best salad bar in the hatch!
Service wasn’t that great had to get up and refill our own drinks not sure where our server was. The bus boy they had helped us a lot. We definitely appreciated him. Even tipped him! When our food did come out it was cold. And ended up having to wait 15 more minutes for my kids food. Hopefully they work on service with scallop season here. It’s got the best sunset view in town.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! Love the ocean view! Food is amazing. The gator bites are so tender. My favorite was the coconut shrimp! I also had the fried grouper. Everything was so good! The sunset view was breathtaking!

Been a long time customer of Roy’s and in years past the service was spot on and wait times for food was minimal . In the last 3 trips down the food service has gotten a lot slower with the food coming out and much longer wait times . The food however is always worth the trip so if you’re not in a hurry to dine and dash .. it’s worth the wait. Compliments to the chef today on that whole flounder dinner. It was delicious.

I will start off by saying absolutely five stars!!! I have eaten here several times all of which have been great. Tonight put it over the top. The very best food we have had in weeks. Everything prepared with care and looked great on the plates. Just perfect. But most of all.. the staff, each and every one of them. Jolene is a goldmine for the owners. Don’t lose her!! She rocks ! We have never had waitress who cares as much about customers and their wants as she does. She made us feel like we were at home. Such a. Perfect evening all around. Thank you and keep up the great work! Oh and I really appreciate your bourbon inventory. Five stars for sure!
