If you love the Japanese Nama chocolates, please come get these awesome yumsies!!! The store is clean without frills (donut shop-like interior, IMHO) and well-lit. The friendliness of the staff can be hit or miss. While they present their products in a particular way (geared towards luxury food items), their friendliness and professionalism could be improved. They offer sampling, but always seem reluctant to offer, which gives me odd vibes. I typically don’t ask for any samples and decline as I am familair with all the Nama flavors.
Each time I visit here to restock my favorite chocolates that cost me easily over $100 at each time, I try to leave the store as soon as possible because I feel uncomfortable.

For those who don’t know Royce…you’re welcome for introducing you. Royce and I go way back prior to my having kiddo days. We met in Japan coincidentally at the airport on our way back to the states. At first meeting, as anyone would be, there was some hesitation. But venturing out and trying it out formed a relationship that would last a lifetime.
All you have to do is just try a sample. That’s how it hooks you. Have you ever had literally a melt in your mouth piece of chocolate so good as this place? If so, please share. You honestly don’t even need more than a single square in a sitting so it kind of saves you money. Girl math ;).
The only way I was able to get this was when my mom would stop through Japan on her work trips. Her job changed and Royce became a relationship of the past.
Until.now.
Who would have thought while visiting family and going to dinner I would see a Royce Chocolates in the same shopping center?! It’s fate I tell you. We were meant to be.

Very nice assortment of high quality Japanese chocolates. They also have some variety packs with chocolate from across the world. I was offered some samples and they were delicious, you can taste how rich they are. The store attendant helped me select a set to gift my family based on specific criteria I had and then wrapped my items up nicely. It is pricey but pretty on par with (or perhaps even better value than) what you’d expect to pay at any other respectable chocolate shop.

So excited to have Royce store in dfw area! I’ve seen them before within the Mitsuwa Marketplace, so it’s great that the independent store is now open.
During my visit, the staffs gave me a tour around the store and explained every details of their products. They were very professional and courteous. Sample tastings were great as well. I was able to see various kinds of products that I have not seen before which was interesting. And of course, their chocolates are amazing!

Went with my wife to explore and experience Japanese chocolate and I am sooo glad I got to try this place! The chocolates are just heavenly here!! I got to try so many sample chocolates in little trays! Loved the Nama chocolates both milk chocolate and dark chocolate, but my favorite was the dark chocolate – Ghana bitter! It was creamy, fudgy, and dusted with cocoa powder! We also tired the milk chocolate potato chip which was also very good! We were also offered to try the pure chocolate white chocolate which was just yumm! They were super nice on explaining the different varieties of chocolates available, with and without alcohol.. and since we don’t drink alcohol they offered us the samples from without-alcohol category … We were so impressed with the Ghana Bitter Nama chocolates that we ended up buying a pack for home. They were super nice to pack it with a cooling bag so that the chocolate doesn’t melt! This will be our next go to place for gifts for family and friends!
