Cute quick eat! I really enjoyed the service and the beautiful exterior. The street the restaurant is on is full of cute little shops. I’d definitely reserve some time to explore afterwards/before. The food was pretty good too! It’s a rarity for me to say this, but the “some heat” chicken is a bit over-seasoned. I don’t enjoy eating actual granules of seasoning in my food. I did like the mac and cheese! The meal didn’t stand out too much, but the design choices inside and outside of the building are beautiful.

I’ll be the first to say the food here is absolutely delicious! I’m not sure if this restaurant has waiting service as I was greeted by staff however it was a bit odd having to get my own drink, napkins, forks and knives. A bit odd but maybe that’s the norm there. Also the young lady taking my order was a bit pushy with placing my order. Other than that this is a great place to eat! The hot chicken and slushy were delicious.

The sliders were really good! I had the x-hot, really good amount of heat and the flavor was really good, which is sometimes lacking when places try to make things extra spicy.
I would have tried Gonzo, but I was on my way to the airport to fly back home after lunch and didn’t want to take any chances…
Will definitely return if I find myself in Louisville again.

Just arrived in town and stumbled across this artsy unique stop and had to check it out. The service upon entry was great and things stayed on point from there. The crickle fries (my favorite) and the tenders were well seasoned. Br aware of your heat tolerance when you order. A little heat should do you fine. The milkshake are nice & creamy milkshake

From nashville so we know hot chicken but this was better than our best. Their gonzo beats hattie bs shut the cluck up and princes hot for heat levels. But it is so much better flavor and juicy. The ranch is like a dill ranch and it is amazing. My husband got some heat which is equivalent to hattie b’s mild but was more flavor. Highly recommended

Absolutely LOVED this experience. The food was amazing and the service was quick and kind. I haven’t had a chance to visit any of the local restaurants in the NULU area in awhile and this opportunity did not disappoint. Looking forward to visiting Royals again and introducing others to it as well! I ordered 2 sliders (X-hot) and finished my meal off with their seasonal pumpkin butter milkshake

Super cool chicken place, our previous reservations fell through after graduation and it ended up being a lot smaller crowds so we suggested we try Royals. And I’m glad we did! The chicken was hot and when I mean hot, it was hot! But not in a way that you didn’t go back for more and more and more. We truly love the way that the staff treated everyone, very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself was clean and just a real cool vibe about it. Would definitely recommend to anybody in the area.

A high-quality chicken sandwich… A juicy piece of breast meat that was well seasoned. The breading was falling off a little bit, and I personally prefer a little more spice and sweetness on a Nashville chicken sandwich… But it was still very good.
Definitely get the wedges. Unlike the soggy ones from KFC… These have a nice crisp to the outside and good flavor.
Staff is very friendly and helped me order the right things.

Quick counter service with a very simple menu. Don’t let the fact their meals only come with 2 tenders stop you – these tenders are some of the biggest I’ve ever seen and will definitely be filling. Their seasoned fries are the highlight in my opinion. Lots of barstool community style seating with some booths inside and plenty of tables outside as well.
