We ordered an appetizer of chicken momo chili. This was absolutely amazing. I would go here just to order that and some garlic naan. The flavoring was a perfect balance of spices and a little bit of hotness (which I like spicy). We also ordered lamb tikka masala (top left) and lamb vindaloo (bottom middle), with rice and an order of garlic naan. They do serve complimentary papadam and chutney…which I had asked about, but we didn’t get any when our food came out. However, I forgot about it until later and was satisfied with the delicious appetizer.
The vibe was quiet and plenty of parking. I would and am planning to come again!
From the moment we entered, the staff was very attentive and respectful. They were very much accommodating if us with a stroller/child and moved chairs/tables to make sure we were comfortable.
In terms of the food, here is what we ordered:
1. Pappad: we did not order this, but was provided to us free of charge. This was nice and crispy. Not overdone. Went well with the 3 chutney options that were provided (pickled onion, mint chutney, and tamarind chutney).
2. Butter Chicken: this was cooked to perfection. The sauce was very flavorful, not overly spicy, and very creamy. From examining the chicken, it does appear that it was likely marinated for about a day or so before cooking based on how deep the color has penetrated the chicken. The chicken was juicy and tender. This dish was perfect 10/10.
3. Malai Kofta: this was also cooked to perfection. The sauce was creamy and mouth watering. Excellent taste. Sometimes when you order this dish at other restaurants, it comes out too sweet. This was not sweet at all. Highly recommend. 10/10
4. Garlic Naan: Good size naan that was cut into 4 quarters. Fluffy, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Went perfect with both dishes.
Overall: just from the first bite, I could tell that the cook was from north India. Everything was delicious. When we come back to Raleigh, will be eating here again.
There’s plenty of seating, the staff are very friendly, and the overall experience left me completely satisfied. I’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!
Service was spot on !!! We had it tonight first time and maybe it being the 31st they were in rush so the goat meat was not succlent or off the bone bit chewy needed maybe another 15 min to be near perfect . The naan was good not as flaky as i expected but not bad either . both the goat curry and kadai goat seemed to have the same tomato base with a slight mild variation in consistency and chillis or habaneros for heat . Overall pretty good might go dine in this week . Portions were okay good mix of bone and boneless meat .
For the main course, we enjoyed goat curry, butter chicken, and naan. The taste was just right — rich, balanced, and delicious.
We’ll definitely be coming back and can’t wait to try something new next time!
