Calling Royal Thai Cuisine a family business would be accurate, but somehow the term falls short in describing this Orange County institution.

Really good. Not sure why anyone would give them a bad rating. Everything I tried was delicious. Loved their coconut rice with mango.

A family favorite: Food, Service, Ambience; all consistently EXCELLENT.
Curry, Seafood, the whole menu is savory and delicious! Prices are reasonable and we can bring our dogs onto the patio. Free parking. An old-time Laguna great; comfortable, casual and classic without the silly pretense of what many Laguna Beach’s restaurants try to be

This is one of my favorite places to eat, I am a vegetarian so I really love their fake meat. If you get the spicy fried rice with the vegetarian meat you will not be let down, Matter of fact, you’ll be floating on a cloud by the time you’re done. Every time I introduce my (meat eater) friends to this dish, it becomes their favorite dish.
However i still remember eating here before I became a vegetarian and I remember everything tasting so unique and amazing. Laguna’s best!

Another out-of-town dining experience in Laguna Beach. It was really nice! The music was retro and the server was singing along, which was EXTRA!

We had the Tom Kha and the fried rice and both were delicious. The soup was mild spice, so virtually no spice, but they give you a chile on the side if you want it spicier. The fried rice was spicy, I think three flames, and it had some heat.

There is front patio dining as well, but we arrived to late to enjoy it (it was chilly!) The lighting and atmosphere was very cozy. We would definitely come back.

We have been going here for over 20 years and with all the changes and we still love this local walk from home thai restaurant. Outside seating and one big inside room with very kind servers and some delicious dishes! Sometimes it’s very busy others not so much and some experiences better than others but on the big curve always a favorite casual spot. Located between Mozambique restaurant and Pearl street wine bar a very unique neighborhood wine bar…lots happening in this little stretch of PCH take s walk and check it out…..enjoy

Not the best thai i ever had.
Tom Yum just wasn’t tasty or flavorful and i was expecting it for $6 for small cup. Egg rolls were crispy and fresh. Our spicy seafood was warm may be because we were waiting for it for 25 minutes and almost walked out. Flavors were ok but not authentic. I wouldn’t be back or recommend it

Above all, consistently delicious and authentic Thai food with fresh ingredients. Definitely one of the top Thai restaurants I’ve been to, including those in Thailand. The staff is also very friendly. I eat here as often as I can – favorites are red curry with tofu, and som tam (papaya salad).

Great Thai food. Usually has a couple of parking spots available in front. Food usually comes out pretty quick and there’s usually not a long wait to get seated or get served. Pad see ew is my favorite. Tom kah soup is yummy and great on a cold day. Would recommend.

BEWARE!
Went for lunch with my friend. Thought we were going to get great service since we were the only patrons in the restaurant. We were not greeted by the hostess. Instead she just looked us up and down, I assumed because my girlfriend is gorgeous. We found our own seats in a booth and hostess handed us the menus “here” and walked away.
We asked for the dinner menu and had questions about some items. Our hostess had expressionless face the entire time, couldn’t care less that we had chosen to dine there, but felt the need to tell us the obvious, “you pay extra for dinner.” After ordering she called to us from across the restaurant “Don’t you want anything order to drink?” We said “yes” and she just walked away. We assumed she was deaf.
When she walked by again I asked her “do you have a hearing problem? because we said we want to order drinks.” She replied “I need to go cook your food. I the only one working here. I have fi jobs.” Too much rudeness even before our food could be prepared. Even though we were starving, we decided to get up and leave.

The restaurant was a dump. The waitresses were cold and unfriendly and the food was prepared with marginal ingredients and came out very cold and overdone. Hell, even their jasmine tea was warm instead of hot and not of the best quality. Don’t come here. And yet their website said that they served the Queen and Princess of Thailand. They must have been very displeased.
