Enjoyed dinner at Royal Spice recently. The chai tea was the crowd favorite (even ordered another round), and the entrees were liked all round.

Would recommend this place to anyone looking for Indian food in the area. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food.

I would pass on the desserts though, at least based on the carrot halma and kheer we got.

Haven’t tried the buffet style lunch so can’t speak to it, but would be interested in trying in the future.

An early evening, mid-week visit found the restaurant with plenty of choices for a booth or table. Parking was right there and not crowded.

There are a substantial number of choices with good explanations of each dish for those unfamiliar with Indian food. The wait for the food was a tad longer than I expected considering the number of patrons, but the wait was worth it. The portions were ample and the food was delicious. Dinner was a very enjoyable experience.

It is mind blowing that there is an authentic Indian restaurant in Longmeadow, I tried the first time today and really enjoyed the food. Great service and people who run this restaurant are sweet, friendly, kind people. Will come again 100%

This place is simply fantastic. The menu is expansive and the atmosphere is very nice. They have a strip mall location but they have made it very accommodating and decorated well. The staff are amazingly friendly and are cognizant that spicy to one person is not spicy to the next. My wife had a fish Vindaloo and it was off the charts for taste. Amazing, but also very spicy. They warned us and it was spicy but that is how it traditionally is. The Naan was amazing and I had a tandoori medley that was simply fantastic. Go and try it out! It is very authentic Indian cuisine and you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing food! The Chicken 65 was crispy and perfect, and the appam with vegetable stew really hit the spot, rich, flavorful, and authentic Kerala taste. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Western Mass. Can’t wait to come back and try more

Delicious and fresh tasting food with great presentation. Friendly welcoming service. Affordable price for the excellent quality. Easy parking. We went for the special lunch buffet today and we tried over a dozen different dishes. Every single thing we tried tasted great. Good seasoning, perfectly cooked meats, all the saucier items were perfectly flavored. A lot of variety. I even tried some foods today that I’d never had before which was fun. Overall our visit was both an exciting and delicious culinary experience. I was really impressed. I could tell by the flavors that this restaurant has skilled and well experienced cooks in their kitchen. I will definitely return and recommend that people try it.

Royal Spice is a much needed restaurant for the area, bringing a fresh perspective to good Indian food with authentic and flawless execution. The restaurant is clean and new, open and modern looking, yet maintains some traditional elements reminding you of the foods origins. Service there is semi formal, friendly, attentive and welcoming.

For those seeking something more exotic, try one of the various goat dishes, you will not be disappointed. Or you could go with a more mainstream or vegetarian dish, and won’t feel left out. The butter chicken, samosas and garlic naan were especially delicious!

We’ll be adding this to our dinner night out rotation!

The restaurant has potential, but some areas could use improvement. The dosa was decent but more akin to a thin, soft pancake than expected, lacking the desired lightness and crunch. The fish cooked in banana leaf was flavorful, but it could benefit from marinating in the spices longer to enhance its taste.

Unfortunately, the sides accompanying the fish didn’t quite deliver on flavor, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the Kashmiri chicken curry was well-prepared, and the mango lassi was refreshing. I noticed they are still developing their drinks menu, which could be an opportunity for growth. The service was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall experience. With a bit of focus on improving certain dishes, this place has the potential to become a more satisfying dining destination.

Great food but be ready to wait! We got there a bit after they opened and were the first guests. We were a party of 5 but we didn’t leave for two hours. Food took a long time! It was delicious and it wouldn’t have been a problem except we had three kids with us and they got restless. They had a lot of vegan options which is great since we are all vegan. Definitely delicious but don’t go super hungry because you will likely have a wait!

4.5 stars but rounding up for the apps and service.

Our appetizers were amazing- we got the meat app platter (wings were the star) and the spinach chaat, which I haven’t seen on any menus around here. I’d return for the spinach alone.

Our server Ali was great, super friendly and attentive. Food came out at a good pace, not too long but a bit of time between each app and the main course.

Rice was super fluffy and naan was good.

Tried the royal veggie dish which is denoted with two chili peppers yet had zero spice. The flavor was fine and a nice variety of veggies but I’d probably try something else next time. Chicken tikka masala did have a large amount of white meat chicken, however the flavor of the sauce was not great- very tomato-y in a canned tomato way and again, two chili peppers and not any spice. Would not order this again which is disappointing since it’s such a basic staple.

Pro takeout move would be to order apps from Royal Spice and then get a side of chicken from Motu down the road.
