Nice little restaurant. Lovely seating area outside. Nice murals on the back wall. There’s a little sink for hand washing next to the counter with delicious looking home made sweets.
We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady who I think may have been the owner.
The plain dosa was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect. The sambar had lots of veg and was the perfect consistency with lots of flavour. One of the best I’ve had. The home made tomato chutney had lovely hints of roasted garlic and the coconut chutney was delicious.
The chicken curry melted in your mouth. The chicken pieces were large and succulent and there were a lot of chicken pieces.
The paneer bhurji was my favourite. It was full of flavour, especially with the fenugreek leaves. Again a large portion.
We had lovely soft tava roti which were cooked to perfection. Not many restaurants offer these.
Great service, lovely food. I would recommend.

Such a charming spot with beautiful murals on the walls and soothing instrumental Bollywood music in the background. We enjoyed the unlimited thali, which included a flavorful daal, two types of paneer curries, and a vegetable dish—everything was delicious and felt like a comforting home-cooked meal. The service was warm and generous. Definitely a place to revisit for a satisfying and authentic dining experience!

Me and my friend 6people went there for unlimited dishes. We got lunch after 1hour and 30 minutes waiting even after that waiting we don’t like test of food and 3 of my friends and me vomiting whole night after eating that food. My experience is really bad, I never visit again

We got medicine by sent we don’t want your help for medicine but you have to just make sure serve fresh food not leftover.

I grew up eating Indian food, so I know exactly how proper Indian dishes should taste, but this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The chola batura curry had no salt at all, and even when you’re starving, food usually tastes better — but this tasted horrible from the very first bite. The worst part is that it wasn’t just the chola batura. The other dishes were also terrible, as if they never tasted anything before serving it. For the kind of flavourless food they offer, the prices are shockingly high. I honestly regret spending my money here. Please don’t go to this restaurant — it’s not worth it at all.

We ordered take away for the first time tonight including butter chicken, samosa chat and beef masala. Every dish was delicious and full of flavour. We will definitely be back! A fantastic local!

Absolutely loved the thali at this place—the flavors were authentic, and every dish felt like a homemade delight. Easily the best thali I’ve had in Perth!

We ordered Aloo Paratha, but our order didn’t arrive even after 25 minutes. When we asked, we were told the order would take another 15 minutes to prepare.
We changed our order to Chole Bhature and after 15 minutes when we asked for our order, they still said we would have to wait 15-20 more minutes. We had to leave without eating because it was already 1:00 PM. We always come here on weekends, but today’s experience was very bad. The staff didn’t even seem to care that someone left hungry after waiting so long.

Review of Royal Rasoi

I recently dined at Royal Rasoi in [east Victoria park] for a casual dinner. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with vibrant decor that beautifully reflected Indian culture. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

The food was the highlight. I tried the Paneer Tikka, which was perfectly spiced and flavorful. Overall, Royal Rasoi delivered a delightful dining experience, and I would highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.
