Great food all around. i ordered the potstickers and a curry both were very good and the chicken was fresh the potstickers actually had meat you could identify. they even ask you what level of spicy you like i got hot and OMG so good. edit i went for a 2nd time loved the food props to the chef I didn’t see it on the list below of recommended dishes but the Crying Tiger appetizer was incredible.

The Thai food is particularly good. I was not a fan of the calamari, but there are many many other things on the menu that they specialize in that are worth getting. This is a great spot for dine in, or take out. Highly recommended if you like Thai!

Some of the BEST Thai food I’ve ever had. Seriously I’ve been coming here for more than 20 years and have tried just about everything on the menu and I’ve enjoyed it every single time!
Staff is super friendly and prices are more than reasonable. Especially for the amazing quality of the food. Honestly can’t say enough good things about the Royal Orchid.

Our group (large party of 8 adults 3 small children) came during a weekend dinner rush during the busy Fall season, yet were treated with great care by the staff. We ordered a large variety of dishes, from several types of fried rice, noodles, soups, and appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their meals and felt at home. Once space opened up, the staff rearranged us to sit more comfortably across two tables. The food was delicious, such as their seafood Pad Thai. Our server was kind and offered a lot of help along the way. Highly recommend coming here for a good, homey Thai meal in Vermont!

I have tried this place twice since the new owners took over. Sad to say, I’ve been very disappointed. They used to have the best spring rolls, ginger chicken. The ones I just got were mushy and no taste. The ginger chicken which I used to rave about, this time is terrible. Some kind of greasy white sauce….
So Royal Orchid, I won’t be back. Too bad, this used to be my favorite place.

I’ve eaten here twice since the new owners have taken over. Both times, the service was cordial, but the food was just average. Everything looked nice on the plate, but dishes that have two red peppers ️ ️ on the menu are not spicy at all. The flavors were muted, presumably for Vermont tastes. One dish had overcooked, mushy noodles, another had undercooked hard noodles.
But it seems the locals like it, and if that’s enough to sustain their business, I guess that’s good enough (but it could be better).

– Pad Thai (Vegan with Tofu and Veggies): Good taste, light and flavorful.
– Gui Chai Tod (Dumplings): Highly recommended! These were very tasty and crispy, a must-try.
– Kaeng Massaman: Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, rich and flavorful.
Service and Atmosphere: Great service and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing.
Overall, a good experience with delicious food and good service!

Food was quite good, and came out fast. And although they made accommodations for GF, it was simply to exclude the tofu, as opposed to pan fried, like other we have experienced. Still very good and the outdoor seating is charming.
