A group of us came for the opening night and I speak for all of us when I say we couldn’t have been happier. We sampled 5 different curries between us and everything was cooked to perfection. Surprisingly to be honest owing to the fact of how busy they were. So busy they ran out of food half way thru the day and had to close for a short spell so they could reopen for dinner (we came for dinner).
I enjoyed my dinner so much I’m back again the day after for more. I came between lunch and dinner this time so it’s much more subdued.
Highlights were the Paneer Masala, the Chicken korma and the bullet naan was cooked to perfection. I’ll include some pics so you can see first hand how good the food is.

So good!!!! Run, don’t walk to this place!!!! I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had! My family and I went to lunch on opening day. We ordered saag paneer, Atla matter, chicken tikka masala , some mango lassis, and an order of garlic naan. All of the dishes were incredible and in talking to the owner, she told me that their style of cooking is more traditional and use less cream. That totally makes sense why the flavors were so amazing.
The service and staff were very friendly. I anticipated the food taking a while because it was their first day open and was impressed at how quickly everything came out.
We have been staying for so long that Port Townsend really needed an Indian restaurant and our wishes came true!

Beautiful lovingly made food, kind patient service, charming family atmosphere. This restaurant is a real gem for our community. And the family that is putting all their hearts and souls into this space deserves all our respect and support.

My husband and I recently visited the newly opened Royal Masala and were absolutely delighted! The food is incredibly authentic and delicious. We tried the korma and butter chicken, and both dishes were full of rich, traditional flavors. The owner, Shazma, is so sweet and personable, making the experience even more special. The ambiance is bright and welcoming, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it!

I’ve been anxiously waiting for this place to open! It was fantastic. The vegetable pakora and naan had perfect texture. Peppered goat was potent and rich. The spicy things could have been spicier, but I bet that will improve as I show up regularly and order spicy.
Delightful, I’m so happy you guys are here.

Ordered takeout. Me and my family absolutely loved the food. So happy to finally have Indian food in Port Townsend, and it did not disappoint. Excited to go back and sit down to eat.

Placed a door dash order deliberately 3 hours in advance as we knew they may be overwhelmed. Apparently, they shut down door dash orders but have no other way to order. Sooooo no food, now scrambling for food for dinner. Also need to wait 3-5 business days to get refunded due to doordash. Was excited for a new restaurant and told people about it, but cant actually get food, so gonna call it a bust.

I love Indian food, it’s my favorite! I am happy to say that this is authentic and delicious food. They let you choose spice level 1-5, which is nice! Having just opened, they are not quick yet. But they are very friendly and nice about it. Parking is a little tight. The decor is cute. This place is the talk of the town, as many of us have wanted an Indian restaurant with a passion. So be prepared to wait a bit, even for lunch.

We went in to Royal Masala on the friday afternoon of their second weekend. Arriving at 4pm we were seated quickly.
Every thing we ate was delicious! In particular the Samosas and the Chicken 65 were fantastic.
It’s truly a treat to have good indian food in PT.
They are slammed with tons of demand – and still getting their bearings. Some things were a little slow and disjointed.
I particularly appreciated how kind they were to our rambunctious two-year-old.
Can’t wait to return!
