It was my birthday. The food was excellent and the service very good. They were extremely helpful and attended our table with water and introduced the dishes that were ordered. Only downside, they didn’t say that some of our orders would be late because they were being made fresh. When the orders arrived they were delish. Thanks for making my birthday fun and special with the dessert.

I been going here for years, unfortunately i still make the mistake of trying new indian places and will continue to do so because i enjoy finding good and bad spots. Royal indias rice has been the softest tastiest rice with good portion of it. Do wish portion for the takout would be bigger id bring my own container too just so we dont make a watse of plastic and stuff we toss to produce less waste.

Love this restaurant! We ordered the Cal-Jone Chicken, naan, and the Vegetarian Thali. We ordered basically a level-one spice and all of it was delicious and not too spicy. I loved the three condiments that were provided – they added so much flavor to each item. Our favorites were the Cal-Jone Chicken (amazingly crispy crust with no soggy bottom!) matar paneer, and choley. We will definitely return!

Tried Indian food for the first time and it was so good! I’ve tried versions of butter chicken and chicken tikka masala but this place, SO GOOD! I ordered garlic naan and chicken tikka masala was so flavorful and the heat was perfect. Will definitely be back!

This spot really surprised me: it looks like a quaint diner from the outside, but it really opens up and is very nice in the inside. My mom and I shared vegetable samosas, naan, and chicken tikka masala (my mom cant handle heat). Everything was amazing. Probably some of the best tikka masala and naan I have had in a long time. The special tea was also a 10/10. The waiter was also very nice. I am definitely going to return to try some more of the dishes.

Delicious. I enjoyed the dinner special they offer, good variety and plenty for leftovers for the next day. All the meat is perfectly cooked and tender. The rice is well cooked too. The yogurt sauce was very tasty and a great palette cleanser between the different dishes. We got spicy level 4 (medium hot), and it was not too spicy, white people can definitely handle 4 and below. I will be trying the extra spicy (6) later and update with how spicy it is. The service here was good too, though I cannot offer much about it since I did takeout, the staff if very friendly though, and the atmosphere inside was welcoming.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Royal India with a group of nine, and the experience was fantastic. The fried samosas with beef filling were flavorful, and the complimentary appetizers were a thoughtful touch. All the dishes came out hot and at the same time, which was impressive for such a large group. The chicken and beef dishes were perfectly tender, and the naan was a highlight—soft with just the right amount of charred flavor, buttery, and loaded with garlic. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Great food and seamless service made it a memorable celebration!

Perfect restaurant. I have been eating here regularly for the last three years. I’ve been here into the closing hours of the night on several occasions. My go to order was the lamb mushroom [spicy] with a side of the indian spice. I’ve gotten to know the owners personally and they have always had great recommendations. It has gotten to the point where I come with groups of friends and all of them enjoy their individual choices. Chicken pakora is my favorite appetizer, bhatura is my preferred side instead of naan.
You will not regret eating here, it is the best indian food I’ve had in my life and it has been great to feel like a part of the close knit group here every meal. 10 out of 10

Came in after a long skiing day with the family. Was skeptical about an Indian food place in Reno. But the food (we ordered only vegetarian fare) was awesome – authentically flavorful, and the hospitality was genuinely warm. Wifey requested a drink not on the menu and the host obliged with a smile. Definitely recommend and will return again for sure.
