Royal House is located just a block away from Bourbon Street in New Orleans, LA. We serve Cajun-style dishes and fresh oysters from the nearby Gulf of Mexico. Our oyster bar offers oysters both on and off the shell, as well as fried, grilled, and raw oysters that are shucked to order. Our lunch and dinner menu includes several food categories, including fried seafood platters, po-boys, sandwiches, desserts, soups, salads, and boiled seafood.

The wait here was not long and the service was fantastic.
I got both the raw and charbroiled oysters and both were delicious. The charbroiled one was perfectly seasoned and sauced. The taste of New Orleans was a great way to taste many different dishes at once and compare them to each other.

Really solid atmosphere corner joint with some great selections on the menu. Service though was very rough. We waited over an hour for our food during a somewhat lull period. The Crawfish bread was A+. Oysters were a solid B+ Shrimp and Grits was a D. Overall fine.

This place is great for oysters and service. The rest of the food we tried was disappointing. We asked for the blackened fish to be cooked in oil va butter, which was accommodated, but no seasoning was on the fish. The manager and the chef came out and apologized, promising to make another fish so we can take it with us, but no fish was recooked and the situation was left unfinished. I ordered an old fashion for a drink and the size and the taste of just simple syrup was definitely something the $17 price left to be desired. Next time, if there will be next time, oysters only!!!

The pasta dish came with cheese after I mentioned more than five times I was dairy free.
The redfish came completely unseasoned. The kitchen and waitress apologised and removed it from the bill. They said multiple times they would bring a new, seasoned fish, in a to go box. They never brought it.

I ordered the crispy fried oyster BLT po-boy. It was delicious and I loved the bread from the local bakery it was served on. The fries were well cooked too. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We ate upstairs and enjoyed the view and hearing the street performers below. Our server was very kind and did a great job.

Stopped in for a quick bite while exploring NOLA. Had a half dozen raw oysters which were excellent. More sweet and less briny than a lot of oysters I have had. The bartender that served me at the bar was attentive and engaged with her customers.

Delicious food, wonderful service, great atmosphere! We had the new orleans sampler and the blue crab appetizer. Do NOT pass up the blue crab appetizer, it was so good. Great broth and tons of crab claws (already de-shelled) easy to eat and delicious. The location is cool and the place is beautiful. Stopped by for lunch or dinner, portions were large.

I will say! I was surprised on their service! They were very good and we dipped here because it was on our way to our hotel. Best customer service and best fried dish platter in New Orleans!!! Not too dry and not too wet tell me I am from nyc so I am very picky. I loved they got us a table quick and feed us. Clement was a great server and very kind!! I hope anyone gets him because he understood what we wanted and accommodated it. A group of people next to us spilt their whole bottle and they were very kind….and they didn’t charge them…!!! Very nice and humble staff here! Recommend it overall

Spinach and Artichoke dip, Crawfish Etouffe on the New Orleans Sampler and the Oyster Platter was delicious! Our server John was amazingly pleasant as well! I wish I had of known that the Etouffe was that delicious I would have gotten more!

Royal House was very quaint, and I loved the vibe of the restaurant. The staff was amazing, and the food was good. Donald was our host, and he was so very wonderful. He sat us in a perfect spot, and I noticed when we were praying, he stopped talking to show respect…you don’t see that every day. Kudos to you Donald.
Our waitress was Valeria and she was quite nice. However, I asked if I could change out the crawfish and sauce on a dish and was told yes but when I got the order it was only egg and potato…I am a big meat eater and that absolutely did not work for me. When discussing it with Valeria she never frowned, or had cross words with me, just simply asked what else I would like to order, and she accommodated accordingly.
We were very pleased with our meal as it was quite delicious, and the service was stellar. Way to go Valeria.
