Reviews
When you first walk in, the restaurant feels bright and lively, with plenty of seating and a spacious layout that makes it comfortable even when it’s busy. The décor isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and organized, and the buffet stations are well-maintained. Staff are quick to seat guests and clear plates, which keeps things running smoothly even during the dinner rush.
The food selection is one of the best parts of this place. There’s something for everyone — sushi rolls, shrimp, lo mein, fried rice, dumplings, soups, grilled meats, and more. The hibachi section is a highlight; you can pick your ingredients (like steak, chicken, shrimp, noodles, and vegetables), and the chef cooks it right in front of you with great skill and speed. The food always tastes fresh off the grill, and it’s fun to watch.
Seafood lovers will appreciate the wide variety — especially the crab legs, mussels, and shrimp dishes. The sushi is pretty good for a buffet — not top-tier restaurant quality, but fresh and satisfying enough to enjoy several pieces. The hot food trays are consistently refilled, and most of the dishes are flavorful and not overly greasy.
The dessert bar is also a nice surprise. They have a mix of American and Asian sweets — little cakes, pastries, jello, and soft-serve ice cream. Kids especially seem to love it.
Service-wise, the staff is polite, attentive, and efficient. They clear empty plates quickly and keep drinks refilled without you having to ask. On weekends, the restaurant can get quite busy, so expect a short wait during peak dinner hours. However, tables tend to turn over fast, so it’s rarely too long.
Pricing is fair considering how much food you get — especially if you’re coming hungry. Lunch is cheaper and still offers a great selection, while dinner includes more seafood and hibachi options. It’s a solid deal compared to similar buffets in the area.
Overall, Royal Hibachi Grill Buffet is a great choice for families, groups of friends, or anyone who loves trying a bit of everything. It’s not a fine-dining experience, but it delivers exactly what you want from a buffet: lots of food, good flavors, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re celebrating something or just want to enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast, this place hits the spot
Overall just was not for me.
The sushi tongs never seem to get cleaned, which is very concerning. As for the food, it’s decent, but it’s no better or worse than other buffets in the area. Unfortunately, they’ve really dropped the ball when it comes to keeping the food stations filled and maintaining the quality they had when they first opened.
The dinner menu also had far fewer options than expected, and prices have steadily increased — all while the selection has gotten smaller. It’s frustrating to see prices go up repeatedly while the experience declines.
They urgently need to improve cleanliness, especially by assigning someone to regularly maintain the bathrooms. Some guests leave the facilities in terrible condition, and it reflects poorly on the restaurant when it isn’t addressed promptly.
Overall, the restaurant used to be a great place to dine, but now it feels like you’re overpaying for an experience that no longer meets basic expectations for cleanliness or quality. I truly hope they can turn things around, but for now, it’s disappointing.
Unfortunately, the answer was simply “no,” and it was said with an attitude. If the staff truly cared about customer service and the owner’s business, the front desk employee could have said, “Sure, no problem. You can enjoy whatever is available.” We were willing to pay full price.
It would have meant less food wasted, a little extra revenue for the owner, and most importantly, happy customers. Happy customers lead to a happy owner and a successful business.
We liked the place a lot and would definitely come here again.
We explained that we had traveled all the way from Queens and that I am currently pregnant. We also had a diabetic family member with us who had already taken her insulin, expecting to eat immediately. The staff showed no empathy or flexibility, forcing us to take food to go or just leave without food. We did do a little take away for the diabetic patient and later we had to find another restaurant to actually dine in.
We have been loyal customers for years, often coming in with groups ranging from 5 to 20 people. Sadly, this wasn’t the first time we’ve dealt with rude behavior from the front desk—but we always let it go. This time, however, it was inexcusable.
Royal Hibachi has officially lost our business. If they stop dine-in service at 8:30, they should clearly state that on their website and entrance—otherwise, how are customers supposed to know? We are deeply disappointed and will not be returning.
