I love their oxtails and cabbage sometimes it can be inconsistent though. Sometimes the meat won’t be as tender or the cabbage can be a little mushy and the plantains not being ripe. I used to order all the time but I don’t know if I’ll be ordering again they recently switched up the cabbage to a different recipe where it had corn and peas in it and I did not like it all! I don’t know if that was a one time thing or what but I liked the way the cabbage was made before

Solid Caribbean food. I am a fan of this type of food, and this place was not as good as some of the other places serving Caribbean food. It’s still good though, and especially unique for the Wilkinsburg area. I tried the beef meat patty and the brown stew chicken with a side of rice and peas along with plantains.
I thought the meat patty was quite good. It had an extremely lovely, crispy, and buttery outside. It’s filled with a fair amount of well cooked beef and even a few vegetables. It was a bit spicier than I expected. The size was good for the price of just $4 or so.
The brown stew chicken was also quite good. However, I would say the portion of meat is not the greatest. More than half of the plate was just the rice, when I thought half of the plate would be meat. That’s fine by me since I enjoy the rice more than chicken, but for most people it would be disappointing. The meat quality was fair, but it had lots of skin and tons of bones, so not the greatest portion. But, the chicken was flavorful and had a decent texture although a bit dry.
The plantain portion was extremely small. But, you are able to chose 2 sides for free with your meal, so that is nice. The small bits of plantains were tasty and sweet, although they seemed almost a bit oily.
The rice was very good. They give you a very large portion of it as well! I really enjoyed the flavor as well. It was not too oily and went well with the chicken. I wish there was more gravy to soak the rice with. It came with peas which are actually beans, and I’m overall satisfied.
All in all, this is a decent place. It’s especially good and stands out in Wilkinsburg. The brown stew chicken is solid but the meat portion itself is not that big. Good sides. Solid but spicy patties.

True authentic Jamaican food !!!! Everything was delicious. I am from KY here in PA visiting friends and they suggested this restaurant. I had the curried goat w/ peas and rice, cabbage, and added plantain. I told one of the workers I wanted some beef patties and I was visiting from KY (they were out). She went to the kitchen and when I got my food I had some extras on my bag ! This was a great experience, before I leave I’ll definitely be back to try the beef patties!

Meal specs:
I had to get a smaller snapper today since they didn’t have bigger ones! Oh well, it was still delicious!! As usual, I got extra gravy!!! The brown stew leaves such a good taste in your mouth. The fish was flakey & cooked perfectly!! The veggies seemed freshly cooked & they were a good consistency. I even eat the onions! ♂️
The red beans & peas weren’t bad (a little on the dry side but that’s what the extra gravy helps with) and my cabbage was good but my husband & son’s meal’s cabbage seemed haggard. They must have gotten the tail end while I didn’t!

I cannot put my fork down. This is so delicious . There is actually enough here for two people so the serving size is impressive. Reasonably priced. Huge portions. Flavorful food. Highly recommended. I purchased the jerk shrimp/w white rice, cabbage and plantains. Wow!
