First time trying, nice quiet spot to enjoy something to eat. Originally wanted a turkey club sandwich but was told the cook wasn’t serving that yet I think they’re should be a separate menu for the that or maybe have it written on the current one. But instead I did order some fruit crepes with eggs, potatoes and cornbeef hash extra crispy with sourdough. Waitress was really nice and checked in us several times. Everything was cooked perfectly as I requested making it even more enjoyable thank you guys.

I have eaten here twice. Breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was really good, Had an all-meat omelet home fries and toast. I did ask for dry toast, and they buttered it, but I ate it anyway.
Got a Reuben sandwich it had no thousand island dressing not much meat, it came with nothing so got a cup of chicken noodle soupe. The soupe was real good. The person I was with for dinner had meatloaf and did not eat it. It was pretty salty. The place is old and the bathrooms need a little paint.

Very uninviting atmosphere. The Host was kind but also not honest. The food was the worst thing I have eaten in a very long time and that is compared to fast food so yes, it was that bad. I was told the special was a burger and fries with a drink for $9.99. Not true as I heard him tell someone who called in it was chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I did get the burger special as he knew I wanted a burger. It was before 11 and they were still only serving breakfast. The burger was a frozen patty cooked in a water bath and was luke warm at best when I received my order. No seasoning used on the burger or the fries. The lettuce was limp and lifeless and I don’t live but a few minutes away as my order was to go. The fries were also bad. I ate a few and tossed the rest of it. Within a half hour I did not feel so well and I will leave the rest of it out of the story. I will not return but remember why I prefer to cook for myself and save the money. There is another diner I will try and I can’t imagine it will be any worse than this one as I don’t think that is possible.

Cheap but that’s the only “good” thing about this place. I normally don’t write reviews this bad but I honestly have no idea how this place is still in business.
The only seasoning my food had was the salt, pepper & eventually I had to add hot sauce and ketchup to be able to taste anything.
Worst corned beef hash I’ve ever had.
The toast did not come buttered. In fact it didn’t come with my meal at all. It came about 10 minutes afterwards, and burnt.
The desserts in the cooler looked promising but, who knows.
Not worth the price.

Well I went to the Royal Cafe with my parents and they have been here several times. We went in chicken and dumplings special night so of course that’s what we ordered! The food was really good, it came quickly (as I would expect when ordering the special) the service was also good. There wasn’t very many people in the cafe while we dined and that could just be that dining out crowds maybe haven’t came back out in full force yet but my parents enjoy eating here and generally it appears the crowd of patrons are mainly older folks, not that there is anything wrong with that but it just seemed like a place where older people eat……we did even get some desert and it tasted great, we got it to go and ate it later at home that same night and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The special portions were large and my parents did have leftovers to take home. I would recommend this cafe to anyone wanting a good solid meal as their specials taste great and you get plenty.

The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is lacking, but we came to eat, not look at the building. So it was good and we enjoyed the experience.

Stopped in for all-you-can-eat fish fry! It was delicious and well worth the $11! Three sides included and they also have an all-you-can-eat shrimp for $13! So far… by far the best on the west side for that price! Found me a new favorite spot! Try them out and you won’t regret it!! It’s lightly breaded cod pieces !! Yummy!! Who says you can’t find good fish in the desert?!
