Food was wonderful and the service was amazing! I have a shellfish allergy so I know its silly to eat at Clam Shack! But, they were very accommodating and assured me they would cook my salmon burger with no cross contamination. The food was so fresh and cooked perfectly. If we are ever back in the area, we will come enjoy another meal! 10/10 recommend!

I was there on Tuesday July 15th. I ordered clam cake and some Cole slaw. They make the clam cakes fresh. They were outstanding. I had to try them since they just won the title of “Rhode Island’s BEST Clam Shack”. They beat some heavy hitters. I was not disappointed! The clam cakes were perfect. Light and loaded with clams. I had a side of slaw too. The service was excellent and the tent outside is a nice way to sit outside and not have the sun to deal with. This place is awesome! Nice job Roy Boy’s Clam Shack!!

I’m from Baltimore, so while I don’t pretend to know the local cuisine, I do know and love me some seafood. Additionally I have known Dylan and David for quite a while now and this was my first time getting to try their food. It is extremely obvious that these two guys are chasing and living their dream, and their passion was evident in every single thing I tasted. Golden brown, crispy and pillowy clam cakes. A chowder that is absolutely ideal for a winter day. Star of the show was easily the seafood royal. The perfect amount of creamy sauce with some quality chunks of seafood from all over the ocean. These guys are committed to the success of every dish they make, and are driven to continue to improve and expand their options to serve their customers best. More than deserving of 5 stars and deserving of your business!

Roy boys won best clam shack in Ri by the Providence jnl. well deserved, everything was well cooked and crispy even the tarter sauce and coleslaw were tasty , fair priced.

This place is so good. My second time here. Bowl of red was delicious. 3 clam cakes, delicious. Two pieces of fried fish with lemon juice and tartar sauce… delicious.
Seriously, this place is top notch in my book. I helped run a similar business in the past, this place is not messing around. This place uses very good quality ingredients and it shows.
Treat yourself to a nice bowl of chowder and some fried fish. It is SO GOOD.

Oh, this image is making my mouth water! We’re looking at a glorious seafood pasta dish, generously loaded with plump shrimp and seared scallops, all glistening with a creamy, buttery sauce. The pasta itself looks perfectly cooked, each strand coated in that rich sauce. The pops of red from what could be crab meat or lobster and the bright yellow lemon slices add a vibrant touch.
You can almost imagine the aroma rising from this dish – a delicious mix of briny seafood, warm butter, and maybe a hint of garlic. The way that shrimp is being lifted on the fork makes it look so tender and juicy. This isn’t just a meal, it’s a feast for the senses!

The lobster rolls were out quickly. They had lots of lobster, limited flavor- minimal mayonnaise with a taste of celery salt. The rolls were big and buttered and there was a bed of lettuce. The fries were good. The cole slaw (served in a small container) was tasty and was a yummy addition to the lobster roll. The shack is on a main road- it’s noisy due to traffic. It’s attached to an ice cream shop. Lots of outdoor seating. 3 stars for quick service, fresh lobster.

Generous, generous portions of lobster in their lobster rolls. Some of the best lobster rolls I’ve had around the state. Calamari fritters with their boom boom sauce is a winning combo. Then there’s the fried oreos, which I could eat a very dangerous amount of. The french fries are always crispy. I’m so glad our town has a seasonal place like this. It’s easier to enjoy with their new outdoor seating, too. This definitely isn’t my first time eating here but I’ve been here enough now to leave a review. Can’t recommend enough.

We absolutely love the food here and make it a point to visit about once a month—the quality and flavors are what keep us coming back. It’s truly one of our favorite spots for take-out.
The only challenge we’ve had, however, is with to-go orders not always being complete. For example, one time the Sunshine Salad was missing the chicken, another time the scallop platter didn’t include the coleslaw that was ordered, and most recently it was missing both the coleslaw and tartar sauce.
While the food itself is excellent, a little more care in double-checking bags before they go out would make a huge difference. We’re loyal customers and share this feedback with the hope that our experience—and others’—can be consistently as outstanding as the meals themselves.
