Roxy’s Island Grill in Newberg is a fantastic spot for delicious Hawaiian-style food. The Kalbi Ribs were tender, juicy, and full of flavor, while the Kalbi Chicken had that perfect smoky-sweet glaze that made every bite irresistible. The Pulehu Chicken was equally amazing — seasoned just right and cooked hot and fresh off the grill. The macaroni salad on the side was creamy, cool, and the perfect complement to the rich meats. Everything came out piping hot and clearly made to order. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming to my family, making us feel right at home. The restaurant itself was spotless and well-kept, adding to the great dining experience. Roxy’s in Newberg is definitely a must-visit for anyone craving authentic island comfort food.

Looking for a bit of the Island experience for you and someone special tonight? We have it a shot and we weren’t disappointed!
Anything with pineapple on it, I will eat and relish every delicious bite! Orange Chicken! With pineapple? I am in love!
Conveniently located at the edge of town, a great place to dine in or drive through and get things to go!

I have always loved going to Roxy’s. The food is consistently tasty and the employees are always friendly. Today we got one mixed plate and one garlic chicken plate and they were both excellent!

Considering this is a “newly” opened resturaunt, it’s not a super critical review. But a few things to note.
-Yes, the food is good. I haven’t had issues in the times I’ve been. They do offer more things then most Hawaiian places which is cool! I love the garlic chicken. My partner gets the Korean short ribs and they love them. And the Soy & Sriracha sauce is really good!
-Service, I’ve had a few questionable issues. Things were forgotten or my whole order was skipped and I had to provide my recipt for proof that it DOES exist.
-Atmosphere. Why is the music so loud. This isn’t a rave. It’s a Hawaiian restaurant. You can barely hold a conversation unless you sit by the door, and even then your having to talk loud. Not to mention the sticky tables.
Overal. 4/5 stars.

Can tell the place is new, but oddly designed with only a couple 4 person tables. Staff are clearly very new. My order was skipped completely and while trying to give patience heeding to the sign stating they’re not fast food, I inquired after about 30 minutes of waiting where I was in line for my order and they didn’t even have a ticket to make it. They prepared a replacement after spending time to make sure I didn’t pick it up already. Not much for an apology or even concern as to why there was no ticket for the meal. Food was lukewarm and the noodle portions were not consistent with other Roxy’s. Meat portion was acceptable. Overall the situation was less than ideal after spending $32 for 2 lunch meals I could barely enjoy because waiting for the food ate up over half of my lunch hour.

I have never had Hawaiian food, so I can’t really compare it to anything. I ordered the pineapple orange chicken, with sticky rice and fries. The flavor was good, although it was really lacking in sauce on the chicken. My wife had the Kailua pork with sticky rice and fried carrots. The pork was good, although also seemed to need sauce. The fried carrots were fantastic. The teriyaki sauce they use has good flavor, but is water thin (meaning it doesn’t stick to anything).
Service was fine- especially for how fast food has become. The young man working the register was pleasant enough- with this being a newly opened restaurant he probably gets the same questions about the menu a hundred times a day. There are also seems to be a lot more items available in the restaurant than what you can see online.
Will we be back? Yeah, we will try it again, but probably not until the newness has worn off and they are a little more established.

I ordered the pineapple chicken from Hawaiian Grill, and unfortunately it was really disappointing. It cost $18, and the chicken was so tough and dry it was like eating jerky — it tasted old. The macaroni salad was good, and the lumpia was delicious, but the chicken ruined the meal overall. I expected fresh, juicy Hawaiian-style chicken, not something that tasted reheated or overcooked.

I tried the new Hawaiian Bros in Newberg and was not impressed. The meat is tough and tastes like its been marinating for days. Plus, the mac salad is super salty and has too much mayonnaise.
Roxy’s is my go to for Hawaiian deliciousness.

Heck yeah. Good food. We were just driving through and tried this as an adventure. It was REALLY good food and it was pretty quick too.
The flow of customers was constant the entire time we were eating even though we came in after 2pm.
We will definitely be back.
3 entrees fed 6 people (two small kids) which made it very cost effective. It was just enough food for the 6 of our family

First time I’ve eaten there and it was yummy!! I had teriyaki chicken. It comes with 2 scoops of rice, a nice helping of the teriyaki chicken and a third item(can’t remember, but I know it was good!). It was all very good and I can’t wait to go back soon! BTW, this is not a fast food place. Everything is made to order!
