Horrible microwaved blend food as always…everything here comes from either a can or a bag which is then microwaved..today was my third time going to Roxbury and every time I regret it…took my father in law for his 71st birthday because he likes this style of restaurant which seems about right because the only people eating there are 70+,and as in previous times I was extremely disappointed, meatloaf is frozen patties that’s been microwaved, the gravy is watery and tasteless even the soda was flat..just horrible horrible quality food especially for the prices they charge..for 18$ a piece you can’t even make a couple of fresh meatloafs in the morning and just heat them up to order? Its kinda ridiculous…if this place has any good reviews its because the only one’s who would like it is people who grew up on frozen TV dinners and didn’t try much of anything else…on top of the horrible quality they slapped a 20$ gratuity charge on our check..honestly I should have just taken him to any other restaurant in town for this price i would have actually enjoyed my food much better even hospital food tastes better then this

If you’re looking for a deli that delivers both quality and consistency, this place deserves to be at the top of your list. Every visit here has been nothing short of excellent. The menu offers plenty of variety, but the clam chowder is what truly stands out. It’s rich and creamy without being overly heavy, with generous portions of tender clams and just the right amount of seasoning to let the flavors shine. It’s the kind of chowder that makes you want to slow down and enjoy every spoonful.

And then there are the parmesan garlic fries — hot, crispy, golden perfection with a fragrant garlic punch that makes them completely addictive. You can tell they’re made fresh, not sitting under a heat lamp, and they arrive at your table steaming and full of flavor.

Beyond the food, the service here is equally impressive. The staff is welcoming and efficient, striking that perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. Orders come out promptly, the dining area is clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere makes it just as great for a casual lunch as it is for a weekend meal with friends or family.

Portions are generous, prices are great, and you leave feeling like you’ve truly gotten your money’s worth. In a world where so many places cut corners, this deli clearly takes pride in doing things right. Whether you’re craving a hearty bowl of chowder, a plate of irresistible garlic fries, or just a well-made sandwich, this is your go to spot. The new owners should be very proud. Highly recommended!

Roxbury Deli on Channel Islands Boulevard in Port Hueneme serves up a wide variety of tasty breakfasts. They also have a good lunch and dinner menu, tho I’ve only had breakfast.

The eggs Benedict was quite good. The Hollandaise sauce was spot on and the eggs cooked just right.

My breakfast companions reported the waffles and French toast were fine.

Jackie C seemed like a “nice” server. But they think people don’t check their statements I guess… My bill versus what I was charged. Go figure. Guess I don’t need to go there again.

This a great place for the whole family. It was closed but it’s back in business. We both got sandwiches and a side of pancakes. They also have restrooms for customers with multiple stalls which I love. It’s a kid friendly place and service is great.

I was excited that Roxsbury Deli had reopened with new management. But, I’m guessing they’re not gonna make it. The service was poor. The table was old, sticky and dirty. My salad bowl had crusty, old food on the outside of the bowl. My lemonade glass was dirty with hardened food debris on the inside of the glass. The food was good. But the experience was not.

Great food and even better service!
We discovered Roxbury Deli & Grill while walking around Port Hueneme and are so glad we did! The food was excellent, the service was fast, and the staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in a long time. We enjoyed dinner so much that we came back for breakfast the next morning before leaving town. Highly recommend this true local gem!

Great family owned business. You can feel the love they put into the food and service.

There aren’t many places like this anymore, and the price is extremely reasonable.

I personally love the atmosphere because it looks like an old world diner, but I don’t know that that’s everybody’s taste; however, what will be amazing for everybody is the service and the food. This Delhi has been here for some time now, but it could close not long ago and was bought out and reopened buy a man who had worked his way up through the restaurant itself while it was open, and chose to revitalize it. He bought it out, opened as a family diner (staffed by his four amazing daughters, and his son – who is a great guy in his own right).

When you find yourself in Port Hueneme, whether you are a resident, visiting, or just passing through… take it from this traveler, it is absolutely worth the visit!!!

Roxbury in name only. Like many, I was super excited to have the Roxbury back. I really really was hoping that it would at least be similar to the way it used to be, unfortunately it’s not. My family and I have been there three times since it re opened and all three times were unfortunately not very good. The food was OK, portions are inconsistent and the quality is not near what it was. The previous owner was always consistent with taste, quality and portions. With the name staying the same we expected to see at least some of the old staff that we always looked forward to seeing. Not the case, the new staff though friendly is very inexperienced and does not know the menu at all. Not sure why non of the old staff returned, but it would have made a big difference in the experience and could have helped ease the transition. As for the interior, the tables were sticky when we were there and it does not feel very clean. I really hope that they turn it around as we have lost so many good breakfast places.
