They were all gone within a few minutes of arriving and everyone wanted Roxie’s business card because they had to know where the cinnamon rolls came from. Today was scheduled to be a good day. I am going fishing this evening and have my tackle box and rods all ready to go. My goal was to come to work, survive the 8 hours and then blast off into the weekend. I did not expect anything life altering to happen. Enter Roxies.
One of my coworkers came by my desk and interrupted my dreams of sitting at my computer in silence. He asked if I would be interested in a cinnamon roll. As a fat kid, my answer was obviously yes.
He arrived back at my desk a few short minutes later with a small cardboard box with a little window on top. Little did I know that this little box was going to change my life as the contents of this box were something special.
Underneath a VERY inappropriate amount of icing (that is a good thing) was a beautifully crafted cinnamon roll. Obviously made by an angel as no human could possibly provide such a perfect example of cinnamon rollery, I had to dig into this thing.
The cinnamon roll itself was perfect. I could use a bunch of other words but we will just leave it at perfect.
The icing, obviously homemade, was the most pure, well balanced, delicious frosting that I have ever tasted. It was sweet without being overly sweet. It completed the perfection of the angel baked cinnamon roll perfectly.
While I am still looking forward to fishing this afternoon, a giant meteor could take us all out and I would still die a happy man. It really is that good.
