Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar is where Southern charm meets a whiskey lover’s dream. The vibe is classy without being pretentious—dim lighting, warm wood interiors, and shelves lined with bottles that could make any bourbon enthusiast’s heart race. The whiskey list is massive, from rare pours to local Georgia gems, and the bartenders actually know their stuff. You tell them what you like, and they’ll whip up something that makes you wonder why you ever drank anything else.
The rooftop is a hidden gem—perfect for sipping an Old Fashioned while watching the Atlanta skyline light up. They also have a surprisingly good food menu; the shareable plates and sliders pair perfectly with the drinks, and their charcuterie board is the stuff of late-night cravings.
Whether you’re here for a date night, catching up with friends, or just want to try a whiskey you can’t pronounce but will never forget, Rowdy Tiger delivers. It’s the kind of place where you walk out a little warmer, a little happier, and already planning your next visit.

⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars – Rowdy name, polite service, chewy shrimp, and hair that shines brighter than the eggs.
Dinner service? Fantastic. The staff was friendly and the vibe says, “We are absolutely not your average hotel restaurant.” And you know what? They almost pulled it off—until the shrimp showed up.
The shrimp and grits looked amazing. Unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked to the point of existential crisis. I tried chewing, but they bit back. The grits, however? Lovely. Purple and creamy like Prince and Paula Deen had a culinary baby.
Now breakfast… whew. That was a different flavor journey. The food was hot and oily—real oily—like it came with a side of 10W-30. Grease was glistening in solidarity with the white male server’s dirty hair. I couldn’t tell if he was about to bring me coffee or audition for a role in Grease: The Musical (Cafeteria Edition).
Still, the ambiance was upscale, the booths were comfy, and the place wants to be a neighborhood gem despite being inside a hotel. And honestly, I respect the hustle.

This bar is right inside Renaissance Hotel. The staff were amazing and service was great. The server made great suggestions for drinks. The food was on point! The Reuben was perfect, the impossible burger with vegan cheese almost tasted real, and the fries and soup were yummy too. Would definitely recommend and go back. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy which we liked. Their rooftop bar opens at 5pm,& I’ll be back to check it out.
Group of three came out to about $150 with a few rounds of drinks included.Great value

A stop at the Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen is well worth making the trip. It’s located inside the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Tony Brown our waiter went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and every plate we saw go by had great portions. Truly the experience exceeded our expectations!

I’m conflicted in my rating. I want to give the food 1 star and The entertainment 10 stars. The DJ and the drag dancers were the best. I loved Dre Friday. They all came with the best energy and did not disappoint. Unlike the food and service. I strongly suggest you eat before you get here. I ordered the Shrimp and grits but could not eat it because it was drowning in salt and very oily. I then ordered a virgin margarita but instead of looking up the recipe online or saying you just don’t know how to make it, they literally served me lime juice. Come on, man! That’s not right. My company ordered chicken and waffles. They like the waffle but the chicken was a little over seasoned. They only had four menu items on the rooftop or at least that’s what the server said to us. Which we barely saw her. At one point I got up to bring my food back to the bar area because the server never came back to our table.
All in all, I’ll eat and drink before I go back next time.

This is a bar and restaurant situated on the first floor of the hotel. My friends and I stopped for a pre brunch drink and was served by Brandy the bartender. She was super friendly and bubbly.
We didn’t order food but they had a decent brunch menu. I opted for a dirty martini to get the show started. Drink was decent. The blue cheese stuffed olives made it for me. Didn’t order food but looked like some good dishes.

My husband and I went there before an event we had to go to at the Fox. About 10 minute walk from there, so not too bad. Walked in and was greeted by not one but 2 people. Sat at a nice table. Kind of reminded me of a speakeasy but for whiskey LOL. The food was flavorful. I loved how the deviled eggs were made (although I think they needed a bit of acid or salt to perfect it). The hot chicken sandwich was great, not overly hot (like a Nashville), but hot enough, great slaw, and a yummy pickle. The fries were hand cut and were awesome. We would have gotten dessert if we weren’t going somewhere after as their dessert menu looked intriguing. The bartender Shawn knew his drinks and was very excited when my husband said he wanted to try a different whiskey). He brought out this Japanese whiskey old fashion which was so different and tasty. We can’t wait to go back and just enjoy the night and talk shop with the bartender!

We were staying at the Renaissance and went down for breakfast. There were 3 empty tables. We waited 15 minutes, then left. Later on we had a drink at the bar and were charged $30 for glass of chloe rose. (Mistake which they fixed).

Very much enjoyed the fried okra. The greens were okay but I’m from the south so you have to have some pretty good greens. Had one drink it wasn’t bad. Wasn’t overcrowded so things didn’t take forever to come out. Decent music was playing and they had Sports on the TV so you couldn’t ask for more. Came for my birthday I think I’d come back.

Now I loved this place for the atmosphere. The food was wonderful and the drinks were really good. As soon as you walk in there is a grand staircase. My bestfriend took me here for my birthday and she made reservations a month in advance. When we walked in there was no host at the stand and we waited around and decided to ask the bartender for help. The bartender waved us away and told us the host would help us and we explained that we had been waiting and no one showed up. A server came over and seated us but the service was extremely slow. We waited so long to get refills on drinks and it seemed as if the bartender didn’t want to make our drinks because our server was really nice and trying his best. Besides those incidents it was a nice time. There is a service fee included in every bill so be aware of that as well. The food is pricey but 100% worth it. I ordered the steak (medium) and the shrimp salad and both were flavorful and the steak was cooked perfectly.
