Stopped by Rove for brunch with a group of five on a Sunday before noon. A true neighborhood gem, especially with so many chains taking over Austin Street.
The space is cozy and welcoming, we were seated easily before the lunch rush, and the service was warm and attentive.
Comforting, well-executed food at very reasonable prices for the area—nothing pretentious, just solid brunch done right.

We stopped by Rove on March 1, 2026 with pure intentions to enjoy brunch, as we’ve done many times before without ever having an issue. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. From the moment we walked in, the waitress was extremely rude and dismissive, which immediately made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Because of her behavior, we decided to leave before ordering. It was very disappointing, especially since we’ve supported this place in the past. Customer service truly makes a difference, and sadly, we will not be coming back again. I’d rather take my business somewhere that treats customers with basic respect and courtesy.

I haven’t reviewed this place? This is the gem of Forest Hills. The drinks are poured well, the food is amazing. This is the best burger in Queens!

Can’t rave about Rove more. Haven’t had one bad thing on that menu! My favorite are the weekend soups. There’s been ingredients in those soups that I usually wouldn’t eat, but in any of their soups…I’d eat ‘em. They cook everything consistently well. My second fav would be the Billy Burger which is my go to when I’m down in the dumps. Hits the spot. And their Steak Frites is reasonably priced for the delectable plate you get. Best steak in FoHi. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are so kind and quirky to boot.

Update: we came back again and everything was absolutely Dee lish. Had my fave again and it was da bomb! Black bean burger and sweet potato fries with limoncello cake for dessert. Lemoncello was light and fluffy and not overly sweet.

I visited Rove on December 7 and was disappointed by the extremely rude treatment I received from the female bartender. She failed to acknowledge my presence (instead, she greeted all the other regulars) and basically ignored me while I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. She said hello and greeted all of the other customers who entered. I noticed that everyone around me was white. FYI, I am not. I will say, that the female who greeted me at the door was friendly. I proceeded to mind my own business knowing I will not come back. There are much better and kinder servers in the Forest Hills area, avoid this place at all costs.

This is my third time visiting Rove. My first time trying their brunch. I was very pleased to discover that my server on the previous two visits was not the only great staff member. We had a different server today and the professional, courteous and friendly service continued. It also extended to the bartender who was able to put together a drink that my cousin had been looking forward to since yesterday. I am keeping this place on my list.

Really really good burger!! Had a fried egg on it. I got it with salad because I wanted to be more healthy than fries but it turns out the salad tasted better than fries anyway so it was a win-win!! Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. I definitely recommend it. They recently re-started serving Brunch.

Great place for pub fare. I had the steak sandwich and my wife the dinner special shepherd pot pie. The steak in my sandwich was perfectly cooked and flavorful and the pot pie was delicious. Ambience was lively and service up to par.
