Ok-so is no one going to talk about the dining area? My husband and I ate here last Friday evening and the dining room is…let’s just say-spartan. The fold up table we sat at was like a picnic table. The chairs were hard as a rock, old banquet chairs. There was zero ambiance-no music playing. The mop bucket is right out in the open. There was no toilet paper in the ladies room. The food? Pretty darn good. We shared the alligator bites and they were really tasty and the remoulade was off the hook! Also had the Boudin balls-these were not so good. Tasted very fishy. I had the swamp fries for my meal and they were so good. The shrimp was fresh and the etouffee was delicious. My husband ordered the Pastalaya and really enjoyed it-although he said is was a little spicy for him. The menu does say it’s a little spicy. I had a few bites and yes, it was spicy but full of flavor. We had dessert and we were a bit disappointed. The Beignet’s were a little chewy and didn’t have much flavor. Will we come back? No. The whole experience was lacking. But we will get dinner to go! That dining room needs a whole lot of work.

A Friend and I stopped in for a bite after work yesterday 3/23/22. Over all it wasn’t terrible but was far from great- it took about 10 mins to get a menu after seating ourselves(not a big issue- there were only 5 people in the restaurant in total) and another 5-7 mins to get a drink (again no big issue) the server brought drinks and some tastey crackers to the table while we were looking over the menu. After deciding what I wanted and getting ready to place the order we were notified they were out of shrimp(big deal) because I don’t eat pork and EVERYTHING else on the menu involved pork or catfish, besides the $14.00 burger. What the heck I got the burger with an extra side of potato salad. My friend ordered the sausage and chicken gumbo. The burger was extra well done(not good) they used the scrap parts of tomato for the lto, the fries tasted like seafood for some odd reason, and the potato salad was heavily seasoned yet bland and not tastey- however all in all, the food was edible and I didn’t get sick after. The sausage in my friends gumbo looked like pieces of charcoal- very overcooked. It’s not the worst restaurant I have been to, but I hope they do better moving forward. Cook the food with love- not speed. Be generous with portions if your going to charge high prices(as guests we understand you have overhead, but don’t be greedy) And last but not least your business runs off that menu, have the things on your menu in stock(don’t feed us excuses that it was busy and you ran out of 85% of the menu) order professionally and have in stock everything your selling. Good luck, and I hope to see better next time!

We have eaten here 3 or 4 times & the food has always been good. the last time we went was a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the fish & shrimp basket that is suppose to come with 1 piece of fish & 8-10 shrimp for $25. I got 2 pieces of fish & 3 shrimp. It took us awhile to get our food also. Food was still good but not worth $25 for 3 shrimp. I’m not sure if they ran out of shrimp or what happened but it would have been nice to know as I would have ordered something different.

Damn fine eatin’….just sayin’.
When you’re in North Dakota craving cajun food, this place is worth a try.
They were out of Gumbo and Alligator Bites, but the Catfish Poboy and Fried Shrimp Basket were really good. We also tried the Red Beans n Rice, which were decent. Of course, we were already full when we ate the beans n Rice so we are taking most of it home. We’re also taking home the Beignets and the Praline Bread Pudding for later. They look good tho.
All in all, we will be back to eat here again. If you know us, you know that’s a compliment.

I would have to say the Lady in the Kitchen is one of the nicest people I have met inside and outside of the workplace. Food is 5 out of 5 stars. ASLO for being 1500 miles from the gulf price if under charged. The staff are great, friendly and the nicest people. Highly recommend.

The food was cold and over cooked. It was also overpriced, I had the captain’s platter and it was $40! The only thing I really enjoyed was the fries. The service was mediocre at best, there was one other table and my server only came to check on us 2-3 times over the course of 1-1/2 hours. It took over an hour to receive our food as well. I like the idea but it is poorly executed

I met the owner/cook outside of this restaurant, she was COMPLETELY disrespectful and drunk. There is absolutely no way I will go back there due to the fact that is how she is outside of work.My husband and I complimented her food and she almost punched my husband in the face. I would not recommend this place to eat as this place also over cooks there food and you can buy all the ingredients at the store and cook it to your liking for much cheaper. Don’t waste your money here folks!

After spending 74.52 the ONLY thing that tasted good was the garlic bread!! Gumbo was completely old and oily. I thought the cajun alfredo would be a safe bet but even that left a weird gross aftertaste that doesn’t let you continue. Complete waste of money. We wouldn’t be surprised if we get food poisoning. Will update if so.

I’d like a talk with the owner. Lots of potential to be had. Food was decent. Seasoning and options not so much. I’d love nothing more than to see this restaurant succeed and flourish. Coming from the south having this in Williston is life changing
