Looking for a decent burger? Stop at Rte 19 restaurant, meet Jeff and his family business. The smash burgers are pretty tasty. You will find Coke and Mountain Dew at this shop, some of the most unique menu items, and be treated like family. Be sure to have a warm cookie for dessert. We will definitely be back soon.

Well guys, this place is 5/5 stars. Unfortunately, as a lifelong connoisseur of hot dogs, I recently had to give them up. Kind of like for lent or something. Either way, i found myself in Tazewell County VA on a cold November night working. After driving past this place earlier in the day, I thought maybe, just maybe, I could muster the courage to try a hot dog.
Upon entering, I was greeted with an incredible array of trinkets and signs on the wall. Think… Cracker Barrel… with a Joe Dirt vibe. Things were really coming together for me. Hot dog was amazing. Fries were amazing. I’m officially back. This place has resurrected me from hotdog purgatory. Thank you Route 19 Hot Dog Shop.

Great service and great food. A refreshing break from the normal food places around. Love their grilled cheese sandwiches. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a hint of nostalgia. So far it has been quiet when we have visited and that is a big plus since we have two kids with sensory issues. My kids love the nostalgia atmosphere it has and all the decorations. Staff is very nice and attentive. They have a drive thru as well.

I love hotdogs and I love the Hot Dog Shop. The best all beef hotdog in the area with all kinds of condiments. The food is all homemade and besides hot dogs they have grilled cheese, chicken and barbecue sandwiches and now add their New Loaded Baked Potato, and much more. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere inside the very clean resturant is a nostalgic trip back in time with music to match. For good food at a great price this is the place to go.

The French Fires look horrible and taste even worse. Three of them made me sick ! Scared to touch the hot dog. Its all going into the trash can I won’t be back …ever !
I honestly believe I was poisoned by this food and these people should be arrested !!! I am not kidding ! 3 French fries set my stomach on Fire and made me deathly sick sick sick !!! If I had at more than 3 I think i would be dead !!! Had to buy milk to drink to try to stop the burning and to try to get the horrible after taste out of my mouth. Not trying to make enimies here I am just telling the truth. I think something is very bad wrong with your cooking oil or something. Maybe they don’t even know.
