This is a wonderful little establishment which trains & employs intellectually challenged adults to work in all aspects of the taco restaurant as well as life skills. The food is delicious with ample portions. The servers are very polite and are assisted by job coaches. The prices are quite reasonable with choices of beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian options! To the side of the restaurant is a sweet gift shop – The Blue Goose, which carries a selection of items hand crafted by the same employees as well as a very nice offering of nicely displayed donated items.

Went to this place before they moved and liked it. Revisited again this week. Very nice decor and much larger than before. Wait wasn’t bad and food was good. The only thing I would improve on is the chicken, it really has no flavor whatsoever, almost as if it was boiled and thrown on the burritos. Will be trying again definitely.

I’ve made better food at home. The chicken taco was barely seasoned and the ground beef was very oily. The rice and beans that came with the meal did not taste good and really didn’t have any flavor to it. If you’re on RT. 12 and looking for something to eat, keep driving by.

For freshness and flavor of the food I give this place a full five stars… It is a wonderful taco spot in a fairly quiet corner of Connecticut! I wish this establishment spent a little effort on decor the waiting and supposedly dining area is fairly drab if not feeling downright deserted and completely underdone. all things considered I still give it a solid four stars but it would be even higher with a better place to eat in.

Went with a chicken burrito. It was just ok. Chicken was bland. Wouldn’t be surprised if the rice came from a box and the beans came from a can. Price was good for the size of the burrito. Not very flavorful. Probably won’t go back

The best thing about the place is that the tacos are cheap. Otherwise, it’s like someone with a taco seasoning kit from the grocery store decided to open a restaurant. If I’m going to go out for a taco, I’d hope for something better than the equivalent of a weeknight dinner in a pinch. Also, their dining room is still closed, so if you are planning to eat at one of their outdoor tables, there’ll be no bathroom and no trash.

Very good food! My only complaint is that on the nachos and cheese, they didn’t melt the shredded cheese on top. It was literally just chips with shredded cheese. still, tacos were huge and yummy. Had a good eat!

I was excited by all the reviews only to be disappointed. The tacos had more tomatoes and lettuce than chicken and the shells tasted like premade shells. The chips were good but the salsa was very bland and tomatoey. The chicken tenders were ok but the breading fell off easily. The fries were not crispy considering all was made fresh the fries should have had a bit of crunch to them. We waited 25 minutes or so for our order and it was a bit pricey. I’ve lived in the south for 14 years and I don’t consider this tex mex at all. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t anything to write home about either.

Food is solid as long as you always call
Ahead and are willing to wait 20 minutes longer than they tell you it will be. Worth the wait and I’ve come to expect a wait time wether it’s busy or slow. They also usually forget someone in my order. But it’s better than taco bell so… I keep coming.

Staff is nice, price is OK. Problem is, they advertise as Tex Mex, and there is nothing Tex about their offerings with only a little Mex. A poor New England interpretation of what should be full of flavor in generous proportions. If you are drunk it will do in a pinch. If you are from out of state and looking for something even slightly authentic, go somewhere else.
