If you are local Dripping Springs resident, then you better stop by this restaurant. Great hamburgers and pizzas. The staff is exceptional. Really I mean it, great menu with lots to choose from from. Outdoor seating with a splash pad for the kiddos. A must if want a very casual dinning experience . There is also a Bar for refreshments.

In the middle of nowh- Hill Country is Route 12 Filling Station, a good place to eat at if you’re in the Dripping Springs area. The parking is good as it’s in a small strip of stores. There’s an outdoor dining area and a few more tables outfront for those choosing to dine with a dog like we did. The interior is clean and well decorated, and like their name implies, feels like you’re in an old gas station (in a good way). The staff is friendly and there’s a lot of options on the menu for you to choose from, just head to the front when you’re ready to order.
We decided to grab a margherita pizza, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and fries, and a burger patty for our dog. The margherita pizza was very impressive. The cheese and sauce all came together well, the crust was good and soft. It was also very filling per slice so you’re likely to take some leftovers like we did; they reheated well too. The chicken fried steak was solid, not the best but pretty flavorful. The gravy was good but the breading was a bit too light. The mashed potatoes were decent and the fries were about as expected. After the pretty good pizza, the subpar chicken fried steak was a bit of a letdown. The patty for our dog was pretty good, at least we think so cause he gobbled it up quick. Altogether, Route 12 Filling Station is a good spot to stop by and eat in the area, it seemed pretty popular with locals. If we were local we’d probably give it another go but unfortunately we’re confined to the never ending traffic of Austin.

Not sure why I haven’t left a review since I’ve eaten here so frequently. What prompted me to write this today was because of how well the manager handled an issue from an order I placed over the weekend. I asked about the order being remade days later and explained what happened and the manager was so kind and explained the standards they have (which I feel to be excellent). I have work lunches here and get take out about twice a month for my wife and I on the weekends. Always great food and fast service. Mistakes will always happen so it’s great to know staff will take care of customers. Route 12 will continue to be our families go to spot in Dripping. Better Cheddar Burgers, chicken fried chicken and Cajun pasta are the 3 dishes I rotate ordering.

The food is absolutely delicious here. We were visiting from Austin for 1 night and we stopped by here. The buffalo chicken sandwich was better than almost any fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had in Austin. Light, crispy, fresh, and fried to perfection. It didn’t reek of fryer oil and it wasn’t too heavy. It was simple and fresh ingredients executed beautifully. We also got the margarita pizza and it was also fresh and tasty. Loved the sauce and the crust, but I felt like it wasn’t as much of a star as the sandwich was. Anyway, if you’re around here, you absolutely need to give this place a try. The food is fire and 10/10.

We stopped on the way home from Boerne on a whim. What a great surprise!! Amazing burger and Baja Chicken Sandwich.
Their ranch is also so good – it’s got a bit of extra something that makes it taste yummy!

Love it! The food is delicious. Walk up and order and they bring it to the table. Friendly staff. Quick service. Get the chicken fried steak! The ahi tuna sandwich is also yummy. My husband loves the burger. I like the cauliflower tacos too.

I live in Round Rock and happened upon this place due to work.. Loved it, would come back anytime. Quality food, great atmosphere with large fenced in area for kiddos or doggos…. Little pricey but worth it.

Exceptional food and great drinks. Like deceptively good. Wood fire pizza, seared tuna and one of the best buffalo chicken sandwich on the planet. Service is great Shauna the bartender is always friendly and talkative while Cody our server was super helpful. My only knock would be the counter order system isn’t as convenient as full table service.
