I generally try not to post bad reviews for local, small businesses.
But this time I think it is warranted. Ordered breakfast quesadilla. Description was: “Fried Chorizo, Scrambled Eggs, Melted Muenster Cheese, Pico de Gallo, and Salt & Pepper on a Corn Tortilla.”
Take a look at the photo…they did not include cheese in the quesadilla. A quesadilla. And instead of scrambled eggs, they fried an egg over hard, cut it into strips. No pico de gallo either. Also no salt or pepper. I didn’t do any substitutions or anything, just clicked “add to cart”. You live you learn lol
The chorizo was also like two pieces of charcoal.

Something recently changed. The orders take far longer. There’s only one person working. The food comes out wrong. I don’t know if ownership changed or they’re just trying to cut costs but they won’t last long at the rate they’re going. Worse, they’ve messed up the same order twice in a row. It no longer matters what wing sauce you choose, if it’s Sunday, they’ll ignore your order and give you regular barbecue sauce.

GREAT PRICES, GREAT STAFF, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT OWNER, FANTASTIC FOOD!

I work in Somers and this has been my go to lunch location. The hot lunches are always made fresh by their employees. The employees are treated well and you can tell that the owner cares about the location and keeping her staff happy. Despite its smaller footprint you will find many items for your choosing. Please do not hesitate to stop in to Route 100 Market, you will not be disappointed! 🙂

The price is usually comparable to other stations, and the market has a lot more than your standard gas station stop. I especially like the milkshake maker. But it’s also great for a quick bite to eat that isn’t a bag of chips. They show a lot of local pride to the school teams and keep a clean store. Only thing I don’t like is that the employees seem a bit disinterested in their job or their customers.

Love this place. The staff, the food choices (they added almond milk for us plant food based people and I love their chickpea salad and guacamole) are terrific. A great place to get a great sandwich, meal, breakfast, you name it. And the coffee, to me, beats DD and Starbuck$$$ every time.

I have ordered from here multiple times and had a very pleasant experience. I ordered a pick up order today and was met by an extremely rude employee at the deli counter. I was sent a notification that my order was ready for pick up but it was not in the pick up area. I saw my order behind the counter. After waiting for someone at the deli for 10min and no one acknowledging me I asked one of the employees if they could hand me my order. He replied that I would be told when my order was ready, and everyone was being impatient. Then proceeded to get the food and put it in the pick up area instead of handing it to me. There was no reason for his attitude as I was extremely pleasant when I asked him if he could hand me my order.

Here’s the bottom-line upfront: It has just about everything you want or need, but you’re gonna pay way more than you should for all of it.

Route 100 Market is convenient, easy to access, and has a broad offering for a “gas station”: a full in-store deli, beer cooler, pre-made food, and a wide variety of snacks. It’s very similar to the ‘Flory’s’ chain of stations. And I wonder why more stations don’t copy this format.

My biggest complaint, and why it only gets/deserves three stars, is that the prices are just crazy talk. Everything is overpriced. Ok, so you’re paying for its convenience, and if you need gas and/or food at 2am when nothing else is open you’re probably less likely to grumble about the price. But I don’t know… it feels like the prices are just on the other side of “acceptably high for the convenience tradeoff”.

My other complaint is that it seems like all of the pre-made sandwiches have lettuce and tomato on them. I can work with the lettuce, but tomatoes? No.

“You’re complaining about tomatoes? Isn’t *that* crazy talk?!”. I don’t think so. Hear me out.

Because the prices are just too high, I only visit Route 100 Market when I need to grab a quick bite. The pre-added tomato makes all of those sandwiches soggy. And that means they’re ruined. Unless it’s a BLT, not every sandwich needs tomato.

So, there ya go: Prices are too high; sandwiches have tomatoes.

Gas stations aren’t just places to buy gas and air and anymore; not for a long time. I remember when Route 100 was just a small shed with a few essential items jammed in it; coffee, rolls, milk, beer, and of course gas and air.
Enter Route 100 Market 2.0. Wow! You know the owner spent a million dollars building a beautiful big new market. A great addition for Somers residents and businesses. The Market offers a Real deal Deli with food to order and premade sandwiches and salads for the ones in a hurry. Everything is made fresh. We’ve all been to roadside gas station markets but this one is above and beyond. It even has seating for the ones that don’t want to eat in the car. They have a walk in refrigerator with a great beer selection. The whole of the market houses a selection of food, snacks, staples, household dry goods and too much more. Not to mention clean restrooms and beautiful landscaping.
My observation is that the owner treats her staff like family. The same people have worked there for years if not decades. They are all helpful, friendly, polite, in uniform, and well groomed. You can tell the market is managed very well. And the difference stands out. It is always neat, clean, well organized, and stocked.
Gas prices are not the lowest around. Belated Congratulation, very well done.

Great deli! A great place to fill up on gas and food! Helpful hardworking friendly staff. Most pumps have auto locks which is a plus when filling up and getting food. I’m sure it was one dummy that had pump locks removed…
