Flavor That Hits Every Time!
Roul’s Deli definitely delivered! The Philly cheese steak fries were absolutely on point — full of flavor and cooked just right. The shrimp had a great crispy batter that I really enjoyed; it was a little salty, but still really good overall. The seafood fries and egg rolls? Fire. Both are dishes I’d absolutely come back for again. You can tell they put care into their food. I can’t wait to try more of what they’ve got — this spot might just become a regular for me!

Elvis Presley online and we had to go this is definitely a dive spot. The prices are reasonable proportions are large. It’s in the college area so it’s worth it

It’s rare places live up to social media hype but Roul’s definitely does. The viral Biscoff eggroll was delicious as was the fish & shrimp plate. If you are in a rush DO NOT expect a quick meal. Everything was made to order and there was a line out the door, a 45-1hr wait on top of the location being rather small inside. Definitely give this deli a try if you are looking for fresh well seasoned food and a very delicious dessert.

Second experience here, and it was ok. The eggrolls were nice… Our Philly cheesesteak burger was fresh and very fulfilling! My husband and I shared the eggrolls with the burger and crawfish loaded fries. The Crawfish loaded fries were good but a bit salty and thick! I have to try the burger my daughter had next time, which was the jalapeño burger! She said it was good! The burgers are huge, by the way!! Let me not forget the lady that took our order, she was nice!! I enjoyed the music on the TV inside!!! It’s definitely a win for me!!☺️

With past experience the food is great, sometimes a bit salty.

Service wise they are terrible. We tried to place 7 orders tonight, from work. We were told because they were separate that we would have to come in to place the orders and wait for food. We can’t just send someone out of the plant for an hour plus to wait on food. So many places cater to the plant crowd and appreciate our business. You figure 7 orders at $20 plus each, they are passing on at least $150. Obviously, they don’t need our business. Do the owners approve of this practice?

This is our game day favorite for lunch. I would come back and order again everything I’ve tried here. Amazing burgers, amazing poboys, crawfish egg rolls were excellent. Love this place, great food, great prices, large portions.

Mixed Experience

My recent visit to Roul’s Deli was a bit of a mixed bag. While the restaurant had some positive aspects, there were a couple of areas that fell short of expectations. Overall, it was an average experience.

One of the main issues I encountered at Roul’s Deli was the longer-than-normal wait time. The service seemed a bit slow, which was a bit frustrating. It took quite some time for our orders to arrive at the table, and it affected the overall dining experience.

When the seafood fry’s finally arrived, it looked quite appealing with its golden-brown color and crispy texture. However, the taste didn’t quite match the visual appeal. The seafood fry lacked flavor and didn’t live up to my expectations. It was a bit disappointing, especially considering the initial visual impression.

On a more positive note, the staff at Roul’s Deli was friendly and accommodating. They were attentive and made efforts to ensure our needs were met during our time there. The atmosphere of the deli was cozy and relaxed, providing a comfortable setting for the meal.

The menu at Roul’s Deli offered a decent variety of options, including seafood dishes and other Baton Rouge deli favorites.

If you decide to visit Roul’s Deli, I would recommend exploring alternative menu options rather than the seafood fry.seafood fry’s

Roul’s Deli doesn’t do pretense. No sleek branding, no overthought plating, no meticulously curated social media presence.

It doesn’t need any of that. The food here speaks for itself—loud, unapologetic, and very very good.

Founded in 1999 by a man named Roul, this family-run joint has built its reputation on freshness, flavor, and a relentless commitment to excess. His catchphrase? Juicy Juicy. And that’s exactly what you get.

You don’t come here for fine dining. You come here for fried indulgence wrapped in wax paper. For grease-stained brown bags that feel heavier than they should. For the kind of meal that reminds you why butter, cheese, and deep fryers exist in the first place.

And if you’re smart, you go with the Crawfish Eggrolls.

This is what happens when a traditional eggroll takes a hard left turn into Louisiana. No bland cabbage filler here—just plump, spicy crawfish, molten cheese, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños, all packed into a golden, crispy shell that shatters on impact. You dip it in sweet chili sauce, because the balance of heat and sugar is what makes Southern food king. It’s rich, over-the-top, and completely addictive. We

This is not some halfhearted novelty dish slapped on the menu for Instagram likes. This is the main event, a full-throttle Louisiana flavor bomb engineered for maximum satisfaction.

Roul’s isn’t here to impress you. It’s here to feed you. And in a world full of overpriced, underwhelming food designed for aesthetics first, that’s a beautiful thing.

Burger was okay, not Juicy Juicy as advertised. Service was slow despite arriving at 11:15. Cheese fries were not made with real cheese… Instead processed cheese food, as Velveta is labeled. It was not ideal for French fries. Not my preference at least. We will not be returning.

The food is incredible. Seasoned so well you just want more and more. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fast service, attention to detail. Parking is a challenge but well worth it.
