Well I am always amazed when amateurs take a stab at the restaurant business. I have been a chef, critic and consultant for over 30 years. So here’s the skinny on this place. Our experience started out by listening to the 8 to 10 items on the menu that were not available. Ordered Chips and smokey cheese. I will say that the chips were as hot and fresh as I’ve ever had. The cheese sauce was ok concidering it was canned nacho cheese with liquid smoke added. Didn’t order a steak Way to pricey! Cornbread was very good but forget spreading butter on it, just to flaky. Ordered the Burger, meat was flavorful but the sweetness of the bun killed it. A burger should never be made on a breakfast pastry. Also ordered the chicken fried ribeye, mashed potatoes and fried squash. Here’s where the amateur really shined thru. They take a decent steak, bread it (a little salty) and then cover it with a packaged, add water and heat gravy. The potatoes were good, but why oh why would you take and $30 Steak and put prebreaded in a factory somewhere, frozen squash next to it. Another killer. If they only knew that made from scratch is 10 times better and half the cost. Now the location does fit the logistics. I can see where the local folks in Joshua will stop in. But if you want the real deal stick with Saltgrass and you’ll find the prices the same.

The service here was exactlty what you would want. Very attentive, down home country girls who took superb care of us.

Do you really sell many $20 nachos?

Not sure I would visit again so Good Luck in the coming months.

We eat here about twice a month. The steaks are always great and the service is superb. Try the Chicken Fried Rib Eye. You will NOT be disappointed.

Outback is better and less expensive. The steaks were over cooked. And they didn’t have any pickles for their fried pickle appetizer.
We won’t be back.
