Second time I’ve been here and both times have been amazing. The martinis are remarkable. All of the food is very bright and interesting. I loved the pork shoulder and my husband loved the chicken. The crab dip was slappppinnnnnn. I will definitely be back 10/10

Absolutely stunning meal. Incredible flavors and value. The decor was so vibrant and welcoming while still being classy. Every dish was so flavorful. The collard greens salad was a standout. The creole tofu was super flavorful. I can only assume the meat dishes are good too but we did all veggie. Highly recommend for vegetarians or vegans.

Stumbled on Rougarou at 11pm on a Sunday night and was looking for places still open. SO worth it, this place has incredible southern comfort food and wonderful service. The blue cheese tart was my favourite, we had the catfish, chicken on a stick, grits and grillades and green beans – shared between 3 people total.
Everything was good, I will definitely be back! In all honesty, I wanted to come back the next night to eat more it was that good.

Amazing flavor in every dish! The menu is unique and the blackened trout and catfish were perfection. I meant to get a picture of every dish but was so delicious I forgot. The host had great customer service, would definitely recommend this place.

I had some of the best service here by myself for my birthday. From the moment I walked in to check in for my reservation, every staff member I encountered was attentive and friendly, and genuinely seemed to care that my birthday experience was a great one. The chef made me feel special by sending additional dishes to my table to try. The bartender made sure that my glass wasn’t empty with a cocktail. My waitress explained every menu I asked about with so much enthusiasm that you would think she was a saleswoman because as soon as she started describing a dish, I was immediately sold on my selection. I also enjoyed how it seemed like all the staff were family and helped each other. Even though I had a dedicated server, multiple staff members asked how my meal was, If I needed anything, and were quick to help clear items or just assist each other. I saw this through the whole restaurant. Whoever is leading the floor staff is doing a great job as everyone works together seamlessly to make sure food is consistently flowing, and patrons are comfortably taken care of. Now, the food. SO DELICIOUS! I enjoyed every single thing I tasted. Thank you all for making my first solo trip birthday dinner one to remember.

Rougarou is an incredible new spot in Five Points from the team behind Yacht Club. The food celebrates the American South with creative, elevated dishes. The highlights included the blue cheese tart, Granddad’s chicken, and benne seed rolls. The cocktails were phenomenal, as expected from this crew.
A perfect mix of Southern soul and Denver cool. Highly recommend making a reservation as this place is already in high demand!

$144 for three of us. Two ordered cocktails and I ordered a beer. Upon ordering the beer I was given the can and I requested the beer to be poured into a glass. For this pricing and atmosphere, servers should know this is how beer is served. Regarding the food, it was good! But the price point and proportions did not match. The server described the food as being tapas styled and shareable. $22 for a few pieces of catfish is absurd. All that being considered, I will not be returning. Best of luck!

Delicious food and even better drinks! Joey took such a great care of us and made the whole experience unforgettable. The catfish was our favorite main but their buttermilk pie stole the show. We already can’t wait to be back!

As a Southerner what I can promise you is the the chef really knows what Chow Chow is! For me that sealed the deal with eating here.
Ever flavor of an explosion of identity. The chef’s use of old Southern ingredients elevated to something extraordinary.

Just a heads up, the doors open at 5 pm sharp, so if you arrive a bit early, you will have to wait. But don’t worry, there’s plenty of free parking along the street and side streets. The staff is super friendly and always checks in to see how things are going and if they need anything. I even think one of the cooks came out and asked how the food was! This place is brand new, so reservations might be a few days out. The main dishes come by themselves, and you can choose one side to go with your meal. We ordered three different main dishes and three different sides (two sides weren’t pictured, but the corn and peas). Each adult drink has a unique twist. The pie was really good, but the peach cobbler dessert dish felt a bit incomplete and wasn’t my favorite, especially since there was still some peach peel on it. Go check the place out. It’s small and quaint.
