In 1996, Mitch Rotolo opened the first Rotolo’s Pizzeria in Baton Rouge, Louisiana just a pizza throw away from Louisiana State University. Through the will and loyalty of Rotolo’s customers, the casual Italian restaurant has since grown into a successful franchise with locations across the south and many more in the works! Rotolo’s Pizzeria uses only the freshest ingredients! We make our original dough fresh daily at each location. My first time ordering a pizza from Rotolos. It was ready and hot after my short drive to pick it up. The staff was very friendly with offering me a drink and seasoning packets.

I had never been to Rotolos and normally when I come to Louisiana I don’t eat pizza as I am indulging in seafood and other fare. However I was in the mood for it and took a chance and wasn’t disappointed. The experience, atmosphere and service was great, as well as the beer selection. The man that took my order on 12/6 around 2 pm was very accommodating. I definitely look forward to returning.

A favorite dish: The Krewe Calzone. It’s cooked to perfection; I haven’t had one yet that was burned on the bottom like most other open oven pizzerias, so I’m always impressed with their food. They run specials, so be sure to ask. Caution: their calzone special is $8, not 1/2 off as twice I’d been told by 2 different waiters on 2 different occasions, so when you get your bill, don’t be surprised, as bringing this up to the checkout person/manager(?) will get you nowhere. Other than that, and the reason for the 4 stars and not 5, it was a great dining out experience. I’d recommend for excellent ambiance, value, taste, family friendly convenient location. Accessibility: handicapped parking at front entrance with wheelchair access, small curb for mobility impaired

I should have stopped eating after first bite when I noticed the sauce and looked and tasted off. Not sure if this is spaghetti or old sauce but I have the worst heart burn in years. Next time I’ll ask if they have red sauce (for pizza). Other than that the toppings and crust was good! Great customer service and atmosphere.

I go here all the time since it’s literally around the corner from me and I’m never disappointed! One time they accidentally got my order wrong but then the next time they gave me nearly 50% off! Went to Perkins Rotolos today 10/4/25 around 1 pm. Took 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. Then she took our order then kept coming back asking questions about order then still only put half
Our order in. Perhaps a pen and paper would have helped but they would have had to put the phone down to do that. As we were walking out the cook was on the phone as well. Long story short just skip this location. Now the Rotolos in Watson is always top notch!!

Went here on a Wednesday. Their calzones and alcoholic beverages are 1/2 off and you gotta come here before 6pm for that offer!
