This roti place is always delicious and of high quality. They use good-quality oil and products. The prices are reasonable, but the portion size is a bit smaller than usual, so you can eat two at once. There’s always a queue, but sometimes it’s shorter, and you can go in for 15 minutes, while other times it takes 30-40 minutes. Just write down your order on paper and be patient.

Roti Pa Dae was honestly one of the most lively and unforgettable food experiences of my Thailand trip. This famous Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand street food spot is always surrounded by a huge crowd, and now I fully understand why. I actually came back two days in a row but couldn’t get it because of the rush, and finally managed to try it on the third day and it was absolutely worth the wait.

The energy around the stall is amazing. Watching the fashionable elderly lady cooking the roti with so much confidence and speed makes the whole experience even more special.

I tried the Roti Banana Egg Nutella Pancake and it was incredible. Perfectly crispy outside, soft and warm inside, rich chocolate sweetness balanced with banana and egg, and full of flavor in every bite.

If you are visiting Chiang Mai, don’t miss this place. Yes, there will probably be a queue, but trust me, the taste and the experience make it completely worth it.

We stumbled upon this right as they were about to show up and open. A line was forming so we stood in it and asked what it was for. Zero regrets.

First time my wife and I ever tried a roti and it was delicious! I got a Nutella and banana one with condensed milk on top and she got the original with condensed milk!

You have to go up and write your order down and wait for your number to be called, but the line goes quick once they start cooking.

First of all, there a long queue. Just write the order you want in the paper and remember the number on it. They will call out when it’s ready. The roti was delicious but it’s nothing so special about it when compared to other places you can buy. If you’re around and have time a long queue, definitely go and try it.

The hype for this street food makes the lines really long. She has a legitimate Michelin star and is good at her job. You order at the front of her cart writing your selection on a piece of paper. You pay at the side when they call your number. She opens around 5:00 pm. We were there at 7:30 and it took 50 minutes to get our roti. Good selection of classic flavours, but no peanut butter.

Famous Michelin guide roti street stalls. Roti was nice and crispy and not swimming in oil like many others . Because of its reputation there is a permanent queue. I’ve tried a few occasions to try on my frequent visits but just didn’t want to wait. Gave in today and waited 45mins !!!!. At least I can now say I’ve tried it.

We waited for 30-40mins. I think you have to get there before 6pm. There were many people lining up. The roti was really excellent. The price is reasonable.

The guy handling the order chits was extremely rude. Since it was my first visit, didn’t know the ordering process. There were no chits in the holder, so after writing my order I handed the chit to him, and he threw it away rudely instead of explaining. Another customer had to guide us on where to place it. I honestly felt like leaving.
Since i had traveled a long way to try it, have ordered Banana Nutella and Banana chocolate roti. The taste was okay, but the quantity was very less. Overall, this place feels overhyped and not worth the long wait. Similar rotis are available elsewhere with much better service.

Very popular roti spot! There’s always a line, whether it’s short or long. Everyone works hard and fast, though, so the wait isn’t so bad and very worth it. It’s clean and organized as there is one person handling the orders and money, while the chefs are only focused on the food. I also like that they use coconut oil.

I always get the banana and egg roti. The lady that fries them has been doing it for 40 years and says she loves her job. She works so hard every day and I admire her enthusiasm, energy, kindness, and optimistic attitude at 77.

The roti is delicious…it’s OK to eat two (or more)!

My friend and I had randomly stumbled upon this Roti place when we realized this roti lady is viral for being on the Michelin guide for the past 5 years!! As a Pakistani, I was excited to learn that the chef who makes the Rotis is half Pakistani! My friend and I went 3/4 times in the few days we were in Chiang Mai and once when things were not as busy, I was able to talk to the Roti maker! She was so kind and her roti was even better!! The cheese roti was the best, with salty cheese between the flaky layered roti and sweetened condensed milk drizzled on top, this combination is truly one that will not stop visiting my dreams.
