The food was the highlight as it was worth the $15. The spicy aoilo is actually sweet and cold. Tastes good though.
The coffee wasn’t for us. $14 each and comes in different sizes yet still the same price. One was luke warm and both lacking espresso taste. Tasted like flavored milk. For the vibes, come but for coffee, bring an espresso shot from home to pour in lol.
However, the coffee… was beyond disappointing. After hearing so many great things about this spot, I went out of my way to try it, and I’m flabbergasted I spent $14 on a cup of sweet milk with caramel and a splash of coffee. I couldn’t taste the espresso at all, so I have no idea whether the beans were even good, and if you look at the photo, you can see how pale the drink looked. It was basically all milk. I couldn’t finish it because I knew it would give me a stomach ache. Based on the coffee alone, this place gets a 1/10 for me.
Overall: Cute vibe and nice aesthetic, but they completely missed with the coffee.. I really hope they improve their drinks because the space itself has so much potential.
*Update* In response to the business: No, my drink had not been mostly consumed in the photo I posted. I was tilting the cup in order to catch the light for the photo. My drink was given to me exactly as pictured. This is not about personal taste, this was a cup of sugary milk with no coffee taste.
First visit:
I ordered ahead for 11:30 AM, arrived six minutes early, and was told they make drinks fresh upon arrival. Totally fine, my coffee was ready by 11:42. Semi reasonable wait for two iced lattes.
Second visit:
I ordered at 2:08 PM, but my drink wasn’t ready until 2:36 PM. They do have a sign noting that by ordering, you acknowledge longer wait times and no refunds, which I respect, but I wish they’d verbally mention an estimated wait time. Waiting 30 minutes for a single iced coffee feels excessive, especially when ordering ahead doesn’t seem to actually save time.
Pricing:
I paid $14 for a latte, which would be fine if it was next-level amazing, but it wasn’t. I’d rate the drinks around the $8 range in terms of taste. Still, I understand people pay for the vibe and the vibe is strong here.
Positives:
The atmosphere is calm, stylish, and the kind of place that’ll be even better when the weather cools down. It’s a great spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends.
Overall:
Rosso Coffee Club has serious potential, but they need to tighten up their process and communication around order times. I genuinely hope they find their rhythm because the space and concept are great, they just need to match the service experience to the premium price point.
The main downside was the food wait time. We ordered one breakfast burrito at 11:22am and didn’t receive it until 12:06pm, which felt way too long for such a simple item. The burrito itself only had egg, cheese, bacon, and hash brown.
We ordered 2 coffees and 1 breakfast wrap and the total came out to $41, which felt quite expensive for a grab-and-go coffee truck.
There was also a 3% credit card surcharge that was not disclosed.
Lovely vibe, but due to the long wait, pricing, and overall experience, I would not visit again.
When we asked the employee a basic question; whether the burger was beef – she didn’t know the answer. That alone was concerning.
When we later brought up the issue about not being told to take the receipt to another truck, instead of apologizing or clarifying, she was rude and essentially accused us of lying, insisting she had told us when she absolutely did not.
Bad communication, poor service, and unnecessary attitude. The atmosphere might be nice, but that doesn’t make up for disrespectful staff and disorganized service.
