Roso’s Ristorante is a little bistro-like restaurant providing the true flavors of Italy using the freshest ingredients and making every dish to order. With only enough room for 10 tables to fit inside Roso’s, it can be very challenging to seat parties of 6 or more. We ask that you call ahead and inquiring about availability for parties over 6 before stopping by. However, in the better weather months, we will open up the outside patio and accomidate more options of seating….plus we are pet friendly. We are located in the town of Ruidoso, New Mexico.

We went to New Mexico for vacation and looked for a place to eat. We definitely made the right choice choosing Roso’s Ristorante. The pastas were really great, and especially the crab cake—it was our first time trying it, and we loved it.
Big shoutout to John, our main server. He was very accommodating and helpful. Also, to Claire, one of the servers, a Filipina with a warm smile who welcomed us so kindly. John and Claire, they both made our dining experience even more special.

So often when you go to eat in a tourist town, it can be a great disappointment or a wonderful surprise. I am pleased to report this is the latter. We ate here based on the reviews and they were accurate. We sat on the patio overlooking the river and it is beautiful. We ordered drinks, my husbands tea was flavorful and fresh and my lemonade was very good (no alcohol ). Bread came with the meal and although it seemed store bought it was fresh. The bruschetta was very good. I had lasagna and it has a great marinara sauce and the noodles were not overcooked. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and it was also very good. Chicken not over breaded and the noodles that can with it were not overcooked either. Overall very good.

Another great Italian place in town. Loved it! Sat outside in the shade of tall pines. Perfect weather for Memorial Day weekend. My wife and I ordered the Bruchetta, Vodka alla Chicken, Spaghetti, and triple berry layered cake. Everything was delicious . This place did not disappoint. We’ll be back.

Wonderful little restaurant with a view over looking the river if one sits on the patio.
I had the chef special: Cajun chicken with linguini. The sauce was very good and the chicken was so tender. It wasn’t as spicy as I had hope, in fact I could barely taste the Cajun seasoning. Irregardless, I enjoyed it…and their bread! Omgosh!
The servers were very sweet and did their best yo be attentive. There was only the one chef, so the meals were a bit alow coming out, but.it was not too bad.
No bar, which made me sad as I would have enjoyed wine with my pasta, but definitely not a Deterrent to return.

We really enjoyed our experience here. Chicken Marsala was on the specials menu – the sauce was delicious, and the chicken was cooked properly! My wife said her Pasta Arrabiatta was perfect, and it was spicy, as it should be, but so often isn’t at restaurants.
We only have one other actual Italian restaurant (not counting Cafe Rio’s pizza joint) and Ruidoso badly needed legit Italian food! Thanks for a great food, and we hope you stick around for a long time!

We ordered the Thanksgiving to-go meal and it was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted truly homemade—comforting, fresh, and made with care. The portions were generous, the service was smooth and friendly, and the value was excellent for the quality and amount of food we received. It made Thanksgiving stress-free while still feeling special and authentic!!

This was our first visit to Roso and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous and prices very reasonable. We have been to many Italian restaurants around the U.S. and Europe and this is among the best. The owners and staff made us feel welcome and the service was great. We highly recommend Roso and it will be our “go to” restaurant when we are in Ruidoso.

This has become our go-to lunch when we feel like going out every now and then! It is wonderful to have an Italian place here with pretty affordable options. The menu has a wide and unique variety of pasta dishes. Service is excellent. The patio is gorgeous to sit out on.

I really loved this place and wanted to leave an awesome review but our waitresses were not great. The woman who seated us (the owner I think?) was amazing but the ladies who filled our drinks and brought our food were just not good waitresses. They weren’t rude but they spilled the tea when pouring it and literally dropped my husbands meatball sub off the plate and didn’t even apologize! I know you’re embarrassed but cmon part of the job is saying sorry when you make a mistake. Anyway the food was good and the atmosphere was beautiful but the waitstaff needs more training.
