I enjoyed everything, the schiacciata trastevere was delicious.
Cheers!
We came here for Valentine’s Day dinner and had a very disappointing experience from start to finish and beyond.
FOOD POISONING: My husband ordered the shrimp fra diavolo appetizer and ate all of the shrimp. Given that it’s a spicy dish, the seasoning may have masked any off flavor. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and on my very first bite I immediately noticed the shrimp tasted off and spit it out. The pasta itself also had a fishy taste, so I chose not to continue eating the dish.
SERVICE: First, we were seated directly next to the front door, which repeatedly got stuck open, making it uncomfortable throughout the meal with patrons constantly going in and out in freezing weather.
Midway through dinner, I used the restroom and noticed there were several open tables available in the back room, which made it even more frustrating that we were seated essentially on top of the hostess stand and front entrance.
It’s BYOB, yet we waited over 10 minutes just to have our wine opened and were never served water. Later that night my husband became extremely sick, he’s unfortunately still going through it at 11 am the next morning….
Our server was nice but very clearly overwhelmed. We were rarely checked in on throughout the night and waited nearly an hour to receive our check (I had to go up to the hostess stand to ask for it.)
Honestly, if it weren’t for the food poisoning, I wouldn’t have left a review but overall, this was an extremely disappointing and concerning experience, and we would not recommend dining here… to anyone, ever.
