I’ll preface this review by saying that I a have a severe allergy to gluten (anything that has wheat) so I typically prefer Mexican food because it’s mostly and naturally gluten-free unless you choose flower tortillas. This restaurant was not your traditional Mexican restaurant, they put flower (which is made from wheat) on everything! I couldn’t choose enchiladas because they add flour to the salsa and even the refried beans had flower. When I asked why they put flour in their beans, since beans naturally thicken after cooling from being cooked, the sever didn’t give me a reason, she just said “all restaurants do that”, and that is an absolute lie. I always ask and no in ever puts four in their beans. I am Mexican and know how all Mexican food should be made and it is unnecessary to put flour on salsas and beans, unless you’re not properly reducing it during the cooking process. They do serve breakfast all day so I had eggs which came with beans but since they are not gluten-free, I was served eggs with rice. I tried the albóndiga soup and it seems premade and tasted like it had been sitting around to long. The meat balls in the albóndiga soup had a weird consistency, like they were mushy. I was with a party of 6 and most didn’t like their food. The only dish everyone else liked was the chimichanga, which I couldn’t have because it was made from flour tortillas. I won’t be going back.

A Mexican restaurant either Mexican or mexicant, this place most definitely Mexican! The food and atmosphere was great. I had two enchiladas and a chimachanga, all of which was fantastic and great Christmas salsa to go with that!
For the price, it should get 6stars in price:value.

My husband found this place in Google. Our first mistake was trusting Google that said they closed at 10:00 pm on Saturday. We got there around 07:30 pm and it was packed. The chips and salsa was amazing, the sodas and the water was good. The food was delicious. I got the red beef enchiladas and they were the best enchiladas I ever had. We were done by 08:30 pm but noticed there was no one there anymore and the waitress had started sweeping. In my Mexican culture, if you are in a place and they start sweeping, they are rudely telling you to leave. We had our card ready to go at 08:30 pm but by the time the waitress was done sweeping it was 08:40 pm. I asked what time they close and the waitress said 09:00 pm. I felt horrible because I get she is trying to go home at 09:00 pm but technically we were still between business hours. They closed the front door and gate behind us at 08:45 pm.
Moral of the story, do not stay at Rosita’s past 08:30 pm. Their food was delicious but do not be the last one there. This was our first time here. The food guaranteed we would be there early next time but if Guadalajara on Central was open, we would have gone there instead.

This is an authentic Mexican style restaurant. From the decorations and vibes of the place, one can sense a down home type of cooking is happening here. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. Overall, a really nice experience.

Decided to try this place out on Mothers Days. As expected, there was a long wait line before getting seated, which again, was to be expected.
The place was packed out and they had a live Mariachi Band playing to the crowd.
Place felt a bit on the cramped but all together very welcoming.
Food wise: the Chips and Salsa were awesome! Just had to start off with that!
I ordered a simple Quesadilla but to my surprise, I think I got a cheese thin crisp Pizza. I was a bit confused when it came out but I guess that’s just how Quesadillas get done here. Everyone else’s dishes were generous proportions and smelled delicious.
Plenty food to choose from their Menu so will have to stop by again to try other menu choice.
Altogether great spot for a family dinner.

Oh my goodness, we had morning Menudo in a very large pot for a family gathering for a funeral. The white Menudo was absolutely delicious. Our family from Arizona and California. Loved it as well. Thank you, Mary lou for making some of the best Menudo in all of Arizona. The large pot is almost empty!!!

Sunday evening and the place was packed. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time!
The chips were nice and thin and so fresh we had to wait for them to cool. The red salsa was spicy, but just the right level of spicy.
There’s a reason it’s been around since the 60s, go find out for yourselves.

The food was okay, both the enchilada sauce and beans tasted like it was from a can. The atmosphere and service matched the food. The food was not bad but not great. A tad pricey for what you end up receiving. (The flautas were delicious.)
